Before founding Panama Your Way, Leszek Glanas had followed a decisively international path. Born in Poland, he emigrated to Canada where he spent thirty years in Quebec, before settling in Panama six years ago. An entrepreneur at heart, he was already leading several projects before turning to tourism, a sector still in its infancy in the country at the start of the 2010s.
An entrepreneurial adventure born from a passion for Latin America
This passion arises after several trips to Latin America, a region that attracts him with its warmth, its culture and the hospitality of its people. In 2015, he founded the agency alongside a partner, Danny, of Vietnamese origin, who was also based in Canada before joining Panama. During the pandemic, Leszek chose to actively prepare for the rebound by acquiring another local agency, founded by French entrepreneurs who had returned to France. This operation broadened Panama Your Way’s expertise, strengthened its activities, and laid a stronger foundation for tourism’s rebound.
This personal trajectory infuses the agency’s entire identity: the perspective of an outsider who became deeply rooted locally, capable of grasping what sets Panama apart from other Central American destinations. It also explains why the company chose authenticity over mass tourism, built on a knowledge of the ground that has grown patiently.
An authentic approach, far from mass tourism
Panama remains relatively unknown internationally, except for its canal. Panama Your Way has made it its mission to reveal this country, by collaborating with local agencies and by participating in international travel trade shows, in a context where the Panamanian government actively promotes abroad.
The agency upholds strong values: eco-responsibility in a developing country, and above all authenticity, by working hand in hand with local and indigenous communities to show what typically escapes visitors. The goal isn’t to flee tourism, but to give it meaning.
Two client profiles emerge. On the one hand, those who opt for guided itineraries, led by professionals trained in storytelling, an approach that places each visit in the history of the place and its people. On the other hand, travelers seeking a complete, multi-week accompaniment, looking for places that cannot be found online. This level of customization rests on a network of more than 200 partners across the country: hotels, guides and activity providers, met and selected one by one.
From Panama City to the tropical forests, a territory with a thousand facets
Panama City and its canal are only the gateway. Once you leave the capital, the country reveals vast tropical forests, regarded as the second-largest concentration of pristine tropical forest in the Americas after the Amazon, and hosting exceptional biodiversity. Panama is full of landscapes that rival those of Costa Rica, without the same media exposure: white-sand beaches, black-sand beaches, and the unique possibility to bathe in the Atlantic and the Pacific on the same day. Some places even offer sunrise and sunset views over the same ocean.
To meet more specific needs, Panama Your Way has also developed two specialized brands. “Select XP Bespoke Travel” is dedicated to creating high-end, fully customized trips, with special attention paid to exceptional accommodations, exclusive experiences and service quality. “Your Panama Relocation Experience” targets those who are considering settling in Panama, through exploratory stays that combine regional discovery, meetings with professionals and practical information about life in the country. These two offerings naturally extend Panama Your Way’s expertise while addressing traveler profiles with highly precise expectations.
Panama Your Way embodies a simple idea: a country is never reduced to its most famous image. By focusing on tailor-made experiences, authenticity, and a strong local grounding, the agency gives Panama the means to reveal what it still hides. It also offers a standing advantage to travelers planning their stay in advance: a discount of up to 15% is granted on all tours booked at least three months before their execution date.
