Déjà présente en France avec Ambassador Croisières, l’ex-Compagnie Française de Croisières (CFC), Ambassador Cruise Line poursuit son expansion européenne et annonce son arrivée sur le marché allemand.

Ambassador Cruise Line announces the acquisition of the Oceania Sirena, which will join its fleet in 2028 under the name Ambella. With a capacity of around 670 passengers, the ship will be the first to operate for the new German brand Ambassador Kreuzfahrten.

Launched in the summer of 2028, the program will be offered exclusively to adults and will be based on a fully German-language offering. The ship will have home ports Bremerhaven and Kiel, with itineraries in Northern Europe and the Baltic states, as well as a few calls in Southern Europe.

The operation is designed to allow Ambassador to enter the continent’s primary source market for cruising, which counts more than 2.8 million cruise-goers each year according to the group. Sales of the German program are expected to open in November 2026.

Outside the German off-season, the Ambella will also host Semester at Sea programs, as part of a ten-year partnership with the Institute for Shipboard Education. The ship will thus serve as a floating campus from September to April, starting in the autumn of 2028.
