It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Denis Zanon, former chief executive of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Tourism Office, following an announcement from the Explore Nice Côte d’Azur Tourism Office.
Denis Zanon led successively the Nice Tourism and Convention Office, then the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Tourism Office.
Arrived in 2008, he held leadership roles within the institution for 14 years.
During this period, he notably contributed to the development and promotion of the Nice Côte d’Azur destination, as well as to the strengthening of cooperation with public and private actors of the territory.

Among the standout events of his tenure in Nice was notably the organization of the Nice Carnival in Ningbo, China, in 2018. This initiative was part of actions undertaken to develop the international visibility of the destination.
