Huttopia continues its international expansion.

Present in France, in Europe and in North America, the group is taking its first step in Argentina.

Announced for several months, the group’s first nature campsite will open on December 4, 2026, for the Argentine summer season.

Located on the Atlantic coast, Huttopia Mar Azul, that is its name, is set in the heart of a vast pine forest of 55 hectares, of which 20 will be developed.

The site is also at the entrance of the Faro Querandí natural reserve, characterized by its dunes, its coastal forest and preserved coastline, according to a press release.

Huttopia Mar Azul: 240 bare pitches and 20 canvas-and-wood accommodations

About four hours from Buenos Aires, upon opening it will offer 240 bare pitches and 20 canvas-and-wood accommodations, a swimming pool and a life center including notably the bar-restaurant.

In the long term, Huttopia Mar Azul aims for 60,000 overnight stays per year.

The campground, which will operate each year from December to April, should generate 15 to 25 direct jobs, and more than 70 indirect jobs.

Huttopia Mar Azul is only a first step in the development of the outdoor-hospitality specialist in the country.

Indeed, the group aims to open 5 to 6 sites by 2030 in Argentina.

This project, long in the making, is now set to become a reality.

“  For more than 10 years, Huttopia has been working with local authorities, tourism stakeholders and managers of Argentine national parks on the opportunity to develop a camping offer tailored to the country’s specifics and to the preservation challenges of natural spaces. ” details a press release.

The group has thus submitted to the Argentine national parks a project covering four sites: Iguazú, famous for its waterfalls, Iberá, Los Glaciares (where the Perito Moreno glacier is located) and Los Alerces, renowned for its ancient trees.

This “ Iniciativa privada” (Spontaneous Expression of Interest) has been recognized as being of general interest this week, adds Huttopia.

The group is also working with ACA (Automóvil Club Argentino), a historic player in mobility and tourism in the country, to establish a partnership aimed at supporting the transformation of existing ACA campgrounds into new Huttopia sites. The first site should be announced in the coming days.

It should be noted that creating or transforming a campground in Argentina represents an investment estimated at 3 to 5 million euros, according to Huttopia.
