Between June 6 and September 4, 2026, Haute-Savoie recorded an average occupancy rate of 66.1%, up 2.5 points from summer 2025, continuing the trend of an already exceptional winter.

Growth is particularly driven by the mountain resorts, where occupancy reached 62.6% (+3.1 points), with a steady progression month after month (+5.5 points in June, +3.7 points in July, and +1.5 points in August).

The non-mountain territories also maintain a high level with 75.3% average occupancy (+1.1 point) and a peak of nearly 87% in August.

Martial Saddier, president of the Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc Departmental Tourism Committee, welcomes these figures: “These results confirm the very strong attractiveness of Haute-Savoie and the capacity of our destinations to perform in a competitive tourism environment.

The mountains are clearly progressing, while our non-mountain destinations also demonstrate remarkable resilience.

Major International Events, Driving Attendance

One of the main engines of this visitor flow lies in the programming of major international events across the department’s territory.

Hosting stages of the Tour de France, UCI World Cup competitions and emblematic trail parcours have supported hotel occupancy throughout the summer.

In parallel, the network of tourist offices and the CDT supported these fluxes with targeted communication actions.

The international clientele responded, accounting for nearly 29% of the season’s total overnight stays, confirming the stability of foreign outbound markets toward the Northern Alps.
