Six months after Transavia’s arrival on the Orly-Nice and Orly-Toulouse routes, replacing Air France shuttles, easyJet sharpens new weapons to face the competition.
The stake is significant because these two routes are not only the busiest in France.
Lacking a high-performing rail alternative, they are also favored by business travelers, especially those who make the day return.
To entice them to fly on its planes, easyJet signed an agreement with the lounges La Croix du Sud at Toulouse-Blagnac airport and Infinity at Nice-Côte d’Azur airport, where the airline leads in passenger numbers, ahead of Air France.

Des avantages réservés aux passagers « Inclusive Plus »
Since early September, access to the two lounges is included in the business offer “Inclusive Plus” (formerly Flexi) of the orange carrier, marketed through travel agencies.
These are the first lounges accessible in easyJet’s French network. Access is restricted to passengers on Nice–Orly (Nice–Roissy is not included), Toulouse–Orly and Toulouse–Lyon Saint-Exupéry.
Beyond this novelty, the Inclusive Plus offer also includes various advantages: free changes of date and time for flights, skip-the-line and priority boarding, carry-on and checked luggage included, a seat at the front of the aircraft, and a on-board “coffee” meal option.

« We want to improve the experience of our business customers, who account for between 25% and 30% of our passengers in France; a figure that can rise to 45% on weekdays on certain routes such as Orly–Toulouse » explains Reginald Otten, EasyJet’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer for France.
easyJet is also taking the opportunity to increase the number of flights between Orly and Toulouse, up to seven per day. From Nice, it offers up to eight flights per day to Orly, as well as rotations to Roissy.
And while the company closed its Toulouse base in 2025, it is showing signs of revival there this winter, by strengthening its Marrakech–Toulouse route from its new base established in the Moroccan city since April, as well as London Gatwick–Toulouse.

The SNPL union suspended the strike planned for the past weekend to give negotiations a chance, while filing a strike notice for September 24 and 25 next.
