A hospitalization that occurred within the six months prior to the trip, even if done on an outpatient basis, can lead to exclusion in some standard contracts. Yet many clients only become aware of this once they reach their destination and request assistance. By offering ProteXia Santé at the time of reservation, agencies can draw their attention to this limitation and guide them toward appropriate coverage.

Before departure, a worsening of the traveler’s illness or a family member’s illness can in particular enable the cancellation guarantee.

During the stay, the assistance guarantees can come into play when a health-related complication requires medical care abroad, or even the organization of transport or medical repatriation.

The offer can also enable the organization and coverage of an early return when a relative’s health worsens, already hospitalised at the time of departure without a life-threatening prognosis, and requires the traveler’s urgent presence with their family.

ProteXia Santé also preserves the essential benefits of travel insurance, with additional guarantees depending on the chosen plan.

For the Assurever teams, this evolution also marks progress in handling compensation requests. In the face of sometimes delicate events, the challenge remains to provide a suitable response for each file, in accordance with the contractual guarantees.

With underwriting possible from a single traveler and without a maximum number of insured per contract, it can be offered to individual clients as well as to groups, for stays up to 92 days.

Available for travels worldwide, subject to contract restrictions, the product comes in two options: assistance-repatriation and multirisk.
