Cunard continues to modernize its fleet.

After a scheduled dry-dock from October 17 to November 5, 2026 at Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam, the Queen Victoria will return to the sea with spaces entirely revised.

The company announces in particular a redesigned Grand Lobby, a renovated Queens Room — the iconic venue for Afternoon Tea, concerts and gala evenings — as well as a complete reconfiguration of the Queens Grill Suites and Princess Grill Suites, with new furniture and more contemporary finishes.

The accommodation offer will also be strengthened with eight new Britannia cabins, including three Britannia Deluxe Oceanview cabins, a new category fitted with wide panoramic windows providing a sweeping view of the ocean.

These cabins are being marketed for departures starting November 11, 2026.

Cruises resume on November 7, 2026

On the dining side, the Pavilion Wellness Café will make its debut aboard.

Already present on the Queen Anne and Queen Elizabeth, this concept emphasizes wellness-oriented cuisine, prioritizing plant-based products while also offering meats, fish and dairy products sourced from organic farming.

Once renovated, the liner will resume its cruises as of November 7, 2026, before supporting its 2027 itineraries across the Mediterranean, the Norwegian fjords, the Canary Islands and other European destinations.

« We are excited to introduce the French public to the Queen Victoria in her new version. The blend of Cunard’s iconic craftsmanship, a fully renovated vessel and itineraries carefully crafted across Europe make this experience a benchmark for sea holidays marked by elegance and escape » notes Emmanuel Joly, director of Cruisepro, Cunard’s general agent in France.

Jet Tours and Boomerang Unveil Change-of-Mind Guarantee for Travelers

In a context where uncertainty continues to influence purchasing behavior, Jet Tours and Boomerang unveil a solution presented as a “change-of-mind guarantee”.

The objective is clear: to remove booking barriers by offering travelers greater flexibility, while supporting retailers in their commercial activities.

The “Flex” range rests on a central, market-unique principle: allowing cancellation without justification up to the day of departure.

In addition, the two tour operators introduce a transversal option: the “Price Guarantee”. It can be added to either of the Flex plans.

This mechanism helps protect clients against potential cost increases that may occur after booking, whether due to fuel, taxes or currency fluctuations.

The stated aim is to offer a double security: against travel-related unforeseen events on the one hand, and against economic fluctuations on the other.

Two Main Options

The first option, named “Cancellation Flex”, offers cancellation without justification up to departure.

It provides: a 100% refund without deductible in case you opt for a Jet Tours/Boomerang credit for a future trip. A 20% deductible in the event of a cash refund. A coverage that can reach up to €50,000 per person. And an extension to nine travelers, whether they are related or not.

The two tour operators highlight a premium positioning for this guarantee, notably through high coverage ceilings deemed strong on the market.

The second option, “Multi-Insurance Flex”, includes the possibility of cancellation without justification within a broader insurance contract. It also comprises the classic travel protections: luggage protection (theft, loss, damage). Transport insurance (delay, missed departure or return). 24/7 medical assistance, medical expenses abroad and repatriation. Civil liability and trip interruption coverage.

This option aims to offer a comprehensive coverage, from the moment of booking to the trip’s return.

A Product Designed for Distribution Networks

The Flex range is now available through the two operators’ BtoB portals as well as through their sales teams. The pricing grids and detailed terms are also available there.
