DTH Travel Reimagines Multi-Destination Travel in Asia with The Ultimate Asia Adventure by Train

At a moment when travelers are seeking new ways to explore the world, train travel is taking an increasingly prominent place in itineraries. More than just a means of transport, it turns the journey itself into a true component of travel. The trip thus becomes an experience in its own right, where the way you move matters as much as the destinations.

It is in this spirit that DTH Travel launches “The Ultimate Asia Adventure by Train,” an unprecedented 35-day itinerary spanning seven Asian countries, from Singapore to the temples of Angkor in Cambodia, without flying between the different stages.

Through this new program, DTH Travel asserts its commitment to offering tourism professionals new ways to explore Asia, by envisioning products that invite travelers to rethink the journey and depart from traditional circuits. An approach made possible by its presence in several Asian countries and by its on-site teams, which allow DTH Travel to design and coordinate multi-destination itineraries directly on the ground.

Conceptualized as a grand crossing of Southeast Asia and southwest China, this new program combines day and night trains, Mekong river navigation, and excursions, turning the journey into a true part of the adventure.

From Singapore to the Angkor temples: 7 countries, 35 days and no flights

Over 35 days, “The Ultimate Asia Adventure by Train” lets travellers explore iconic sites and more off-the-beaten-path locations across seven Asian countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, China, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

The journey begins in Singapore, where skyscrapers, tropical gardens and historic districts set the scene, before gradually tracing the Malay Peninsula up to Kuala Lumpur and Penang. In George Town, Chinese, Malay, Indian and British influences appear in the architecture, temples and street food.

The route continues in Thailand, from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, then toward the northern part of the country and the border with Laos. After the bustle of the capital, the journey takes on a different dimension in Chiang Mai, before reaching the Golden Triangle and Chiang Khong.

From Chiang Khong, the train temporarily gives way to the Mekong. The navigation toward Pakbeng and Luang Prabang offers a pause along the river and the mountain landscapes of Laos.

In Luang Prabang, temples, traditional houses and the surrounding mountains extend this immersion, with a visit to the Kuang Si waterfalls.

The train journey then resumes to reach Kunming, China, gateway to Yunnan. This leg lets travelers discover a region renowned for its landscapes and cultural diversity, including the spectacular Stone Forest, before entering Vietnam via Lao Cai in the north of the country.

In Sapa, mountains and terraced rice fields contrast with the bustle of major cities. The journey then moves on to Hanoi, then Ninh Binh, amid rice paddies and karst formations, before reaching the country’s central region.

From Danang to Hoi An and Quy Nhon, the itinerary alternates heritage sites, landscapes and discoveries along the central coast of Vietnam. In Hoi An, the lanes of the old town and the ancient houses bear witness to the commercial history of this city, before resuming the train to continue south.

The final stretch of the journey leads to Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta. A side trip allows exploring the canals, villages and floating markets that shape the daily life of this region, intimately connected to the river.

Uganda: A Larger-Than-Life Adventure in Africa’s Pearl with Karibuni

Uganda is primarily a land of exceptional wildlife encounters. A Destination with Many Facets

Uganda astonishes with the variety of experiences it brings together on a single territory. The journey can begin in the bustle of Kampala, continue through the tropical forests of the west, traverse the wild landscapes of the Rift Valley, and end on the tranquil shores of Lake Victoria or the powerful waters of the Nile.

The capital, Kampala, offers an first immersion in the country’s culture and history. Built on several hills, it blends ancient traditions, religious heritage and contemporary energy. The National Mosque, also known as the Gaddafi Mosque, dominates Old Kampala and grants a wide panorama over the city.

The National Museum traces Uganda’s history through traditional objects, cultural collections and musical instruments. The Kabaka Palace, official residence of the king of Buganda, underscores the political and symbolic importance of this historic monarchy.

The Kasubi Royal Tombs, UNESCO World Heritage-listed, are also a major site of Ugandan culture. Rich in spirituality, the site bears witness to the depth of the Buganda kingdom’s traditions.

Kampala also reveals a particularly dynamic art scene. Galleries, cultural spaces, studios and young collectives contribute to renewing local artistic expression and give the city a creative and undeniably vibrant atmosphere.

Bwindi, tracing the Mountain Gorillas

It is impossible to speak of Uganda without mentioning the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this national park is one of the great sanctuaries of mountain gorillas and shelters nearly half of their world population.

The encounter begins with a trek through a dense and spectacular forest. The vegetation is lush, the slopes can be steep, and the trails may prove challenging. Guided by rangers and trackers, small groups press into the jungle in search of a gorilla family.

Then comes the moment of the encounter. In the forest’s hush, travelers observe the gorillas moving freely in their natural environment. The youngsters play among the vegetation, mothers remain watchful of their little ones, while the imposing silverbacks keep watch over the group with calm authority.

The emotion arises as much from the closeness to these great apes as from the wild character of the setting. The forest seems to close its jewel around the visitors, creating an intense and profoundly memorable experience.

Tourism plays an important role in preserving the park here. Conservation efforts and community projects allow neighboring populations to benefit from the travel income while participating in the protection of this exceptional ecosystem.

Kibale, the Realm of Chimpanzees

North of Bwindi lies Kibale Forest, offering another grand moment in a Uganda journey. Considered one of Africa’s best places to observe chimpanzees in the wild, it also hosts a remarkable diversity of primates.

The trek typically begins in damp, generous vegetation. At dawn, the forest wakes in an almost electric atmosphere. The calls of chimpanzees echo under the canopy, allowing trackers to locate the different groups.

The approach is on foot, among tall trees, lianas and ferns. Once the chimpanzees are spotted, travelers can observe them in their daily life: moving through the trees, foraging, playing, interactions and rests.

Kibale is also home to about ten other primate species, including the black-and-white colobus and the red-tailed monkey. Birds, butterflies and lush vegetation complete this immersion in a forest especially rich in biodiversity.

The encounter with chimpanzees offers a very different experience from gorillas. More mobile, noisier and sometimes unpredictable, they give the forest a fascinating energy.

Queen Elizabeth, a Mosaic of Wild Landscapes

Queen Elizabeth National Park ranks among Uganda’s most emblematic natural spaces. Its territory gathers a wide variety of landscapes: open savannas, swamps, lakes, plains, forests and volcanic craters.

This diversity allows for abundant wildlife viewing on safaris. Elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and numerous birds roam through settings that change with the day and the regions traversed.

In the Ishasha sector, in the park’s south, lions are famous for their remarkable habit of climbing trees. Perched on branches, they enjoy height and escape the heat of the ground, offering travelers a scene both rare and spectacular.

The Kazinga Canal is another highlight of the discovery. Linking Lakes George and Edward, it concentrates a large population of hippopotamuses, crocodiles and birds. A boat trip lets visitors approach this aquatic fauna and observe animals coming to drink along the banks.

Nearby villages around the park bring a more human dimension to the trip. Katwe is known for its traditional salt pans. Dances, stories and encounters with locals reveal a culture deeply linked to its environment.

Mgahinga, Between Volcanoes and Ancestral Cultures

Jinja, at the Source of the Nile

Located in the country’s east, Jinja marks the starting point of the Nile. The town has gradually established itself as one of East Africa’s major adventure travel destinations.

The activities are numerous: white-water rafting, kayaking, bungee jumping, horseback riding or river cruises. Travelers can discover the Nile in a contemplative way or opt for a more athletic experience.

After activities, Jinja invites you to slow down. Its colorful markets, riverfront cafés and relaxed atmosphere make it a pleasant stop, allowing a balance of thrills and relaxation.

Not far away, Entebbe offers an even calmer ambiance on the shores of Lake Victoria. Its Botanic Garden, established in 1898, provides a walk among strangler figs and giant palms.

The Uganda Wildlife Centre, formerly a zoo, now known as UWEC, raises awareness about animal protection and hosts local species in need of care or rehabilitation.

Lake Mburo, another way to experience safari

Smaller and more intimate than Uganda’s great parks, Lake Mburo National Park stands out for the richness of its ecosystem.

It is notably one of the best places in Uganda to observe impalas and one of the few parks where Burchell’s zebras still live. Elands, hyenas, leopards and over 300 bird species complete this diversity.

The park’s distinctive feature lies in the different ways to explore it. Some areas can be discovered on foot or by bicycle, offering a gentler approach that brings you closer to nature.

Without the noise of a vehicle, travelers become more aware of sounds, movements and landscape details. This experience lets you live the safari from a more intimate and particularly immersive angle.

A Destination for Adventure and Encounters

Uganda is a land of contrasts where grand wildlife experiences sit alongside cultural discoveries, volcanic landscapes and adventures on the Nile.

• With only 33.7 square kilometers, Mgahinga is Uganda’s smallest national park. Yet it protects mountain gorillas and the rare golden monkeys.

Disney Adventure World: The Disney Princess Cavalcade Arrives

The Disney Princesses are taking up residence along the shores of Adventure Bay.

Proposed several times daily throughout the year, starting this Friday, July 24, 2026, this show brings together Moana, Raya, Tiana, and Rapunzel on bespoke floats, for an immersive interactive moment with guests.

The parade route stretches along the lake, winding from the future space dedicated to The Lion King to The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge.

Halfway along, the procession makes a stop to invite the audience to an interactive sequence.

The heroines and their companions step down to meet spectators and teach them choreographed moves, ranging from the traditional Pacific Island dance for Moana to martial arts gestures for Raya.

Disney Princess Cavalcade: A Year of Development

To design this show, which required a year and a half of development and 287 hours of rehearsals, the creative teams turned to French craftsmanship.

The costumes were crafted by the workshops of Disneyland Paris, while the floats representing the original worlds—the Motunui village, the Heart Palace, New Orleans, or the Drunken Duck Tavern—were produced by a Nice-based specialized company.

The animation is accompanied by two original musical compositions, recorded between Nashville and Paris by an orchestra of about fifty musicians.

Moreover, the launch of this cavalcade marks the end of The Disney Fanfare led by Minnie, who now wears a Victorian outfit to greet visitors at the West Pavilion.
