Clermont-Ferrand Sets Sail with the 2026 Travel Journal Rendezvous

Travel brings at least two pleasures: the pleasure of doing it and the pleasure of telling about it.

Everyone, in their own way, chooses according to their tastes, possibilities, and talents if they have any.

Some write, others prefer stills or cinema, but the majority are content to chatter away at happy hour or after a meal.

There is also another, less common, category that favors charcoal, pencil, brush, or marker that draw on Canson paper. These are carnetists.

If the word is unknown, or nearly so, to dictionaries and spelling checkers, it takes on full meaning in Clermont-Ferrand in mid‑November. Since the turn of the century, it is in the Auvergne capital that the International Travel Sketchbook Rendezvous takes place.

It brings together about 120 carnetists who present and comment on their drawings to more than 15,000 visitors expected in 2026.

Clermont by the Sea

The organizers have unveiled the poster. It is the work of a comic book author, Joël Alessandra, himself a carnetist.

He has turned the Auvergne capital into a seaside city. “Clermont-Ferrand has no sea – and that is precisely the starting point of this poster,” the author notes.

From his boat, the carnetist approaches the city by an impossible path: a sea crossing toward an inland volcanic city. This unlikely image embodies the very essence of carnet practice—the ability to reinvent reality, to bring forth the unexpected from the familiar (…) Clermont, with its ochre roofs and the black spires of its cathedral, appears as a dreamed‑of stopover, an inner port that every carnetist joins in their own way. »

All that remains is to wish the Travel Sketchbook a smooth voyage and a lovely port of call for thousands of cruise passengers!

Celestyal Sets Course for the Western Mediterranean

CroisiEurope

A Seven-Night Version

L’itinéraire sera également proposé en two seven-night versions between Barcelona (Tarragona) et Lisbonne dans les deux sens, à partir de 639 euros par personne.

En complément, Celestyal lance two eight-night repositioning cruises named « The Mediterranean Rivieras », reliant Athènes à Barcelone (Tarragone).

TourMaG Recharges Its Batteries… and Sets a Date for August 17

TourMaG reprendra ses publications à partir du 17 août. La newsletter quotidienne, elle, fera son retour le lundi 24 août - DepositPhotos.com, evphoto48.yandex.ru

CroisiEurope

It’s the final stretch for the TourMaG teams before the summer break. This Friday July 24, your favorite newspaper closes its doors for three weeks.

But worry not! You will still receive, every Wednesday, a newsletter compiling the latest hot (and cold) dossiers produced by our editorial team. The whole thing will be enriched with a touch of expertise on luxury, cybersecurity, CSR, crisis communication, or the strategies of airline companies, thanks to our pool of experts.

A good opportunity to catch up on the latest news you may have missed between two World Cup matches or two heat waves amid climate warming…

Because, if your favorite portal has a reputation for always being on the pulse of the news, we also strive to listen to your requests and the latest market trends. Here is the proof:

– always more practical articles, such as our Pro Guide series or the MTV legal cases;

– in-depth dossiers, such as the one on downtown shops, the rise of river cruising, or vacation clubs;

deep analyses of destinations: Japan, South Korea, Australia;

sociological analyses that are as insightful and relevant in our Futuroscopy column.

This should give you a nice reading list for the beach or by a mountain lake!

The Daily Newsletter Returns on August 24

Once the batteries are recharged, TourMaG will resume publications on August 17.

The daily newsletter, meanwhile, returns on Monday, August 24, for a new year full of news and changes.

Indeed, like tourism professionals, TourMaG continually adapts to technological evolutions and to the practices of its readers.

In the coming months, you will therefore see your reading offer evolve, with new survey formats, increasingly thorough and practical articles to help you in your daily life and, of course, a new dossier unveiled in our print magazine at IFTM!

And not forgetting video!

For a year now, TourMaG has significantly expanded its presence on social networks.

Had you noticed? Instagram and Facebook Stories, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn, interviews in our Marseille TV studio… Our team is also on the ground, smartphone and microphone in hand, to share the strongest moments of the profession live!

All of this content is set to grow from September, with more debriefings and portraits designed to shed light on your professions.

See You at the Start of the Season!

You’ve probably guessed that this final editorial of the season subtly serves as a reminder of our value proposition, in the face of competition, certainly, but especially in light of the AI surge, pirate sites, Google AI Overviews… or, more simply, the general decline in readers’ attention spans or their ability to stay engaged with an article or a video for more than a few seconds.

That’s why, at TourMaG, we continually adjust the recipe — hot news, in-depth dossiers, practical articles, interviews, videos, podcasts, a WhatsApp thread for our MemberShip Club subscribers, and live events — to stay as close as possible to your expectations.

Adaptability and resilience, does that ring a bell, fellow tourism professionals?

Until August, we wish you a wonderful summer (hopefully without too many disruptions) and, if you haven’t already, remember that you can support us by subscribing!

Finally, we invite you to IFTM, stand R078, in mid-September, as well as to the Club Haussmann in Paris, for the IFTM TourMaG Party evening!

See you very soon!

ADN Tourism Sets the Record Straight on the Consequences of Piracy

L’ensemble des données a été récupéré par ADN Tourisme, alors que Vacansoleil, du groupe Maeva, a été piraté à son tour - Depositphotos

Dream Yacht

One week after the hack it experienced, ADN Tourisme can now gauge the scale of the damage and implement a fix to the information circulated by the cyber attackers.

The federation of institutional stakeholders indicates that the exfiltrated data would concern not 50,702 individuals but 2,869 users.

An important difference also concerns the amount of data stolen, which would not be 100 GB, but actually 91 GB, covering around 50,000 contractual documents.

Far from being trivial, the damages therefore appear considerably less significant than what the hackers claimed.

ADN Tourisme retrieved the exfiltrated data

Thus, it was not ADN Tourisme’s platform that was compromised, but the association’s legal site. And contrary to what had been claimed, not all of the data had been deleted, but was retrieved by the entity.

Moreover, no identifiers leaked since this involved a Single Sign-On (SSO) connection.

ADN Tourisme wishes to emphasize that it has never contracted with companies such as SNCF, Leroy Merlin, BPCE or ALPA GROUP.

To read: Three hacks in three days: why the tourism sector will have to prove its security

The compromise of the platform allowed the attackers to move into other platforms of the same service provider and thus to siphon contracts with these companies.

The tourism sector has endured a dark May, with a series of hacks that shows no sign of stopping.
