Le Groupe Honotel annonce l’acquisition des murs et du fonds de commerce de l’hôtel Pavillon Monceau, situé dans le 17e arrondissement de Paris.

Réalisé via les fonds Cap Hospitality IV et Cap Hospitality V, gérés par Hôtel Investissement Capital, cet investissement illustre la volonté du groupe de consolider son portefeuille d’actifs en France et en Europe.

“Le marché parisien continue d’attirer massivement les investisseurs, représentant près d’une transaction sur deux en France l’année dernière“, souligne Suzanne Todd, directrice de la société de gestion.

Elle rappelle également le poids de la destination : Paris demeure “une marque internationale incontournable” et une locomotive majeure du tourisme européen.

A four-star establishment in the heart of the 17th arrondissement

Classified as four stars since 2025, the Pavillon Monceau stands out for its location in a Haussmannian building and its mixed-use positioning, suited to both leisure and business guests.

The property comprises 42 rooms, in a sector deemed strategic by the investor.

With this operation, Honotel thus reinforces its footprint in the capital and continues its growth strategy, relying on assets with strong potential in key locations.

To carry out this transaction, the group surrounded itself with several advisers: Valther (legal), Mazars (tax and finance), SVZ (human resources), Monassier (notarial), Artelia (technical) and Exsolv’ho (management).

On the seller’s side, Rosenpick & Associates acted as adviser.

Accor Expands in West Africa with Nigeria

Accor et Shoreline Group prévoient de développer une offre hôtelière couvrant plusieurs segments, du milieu de gamme au luxe, afin d’accompagner la croissance touristique et économique du Nigeria.

Le partenariat prévoit l’ouverture de 10 hôtels répartis dans huit villes nigérianes d’ici 2030.

Les établissements représenteront plus de 1 200 chambres et s’appuieront sur les différentes marques du portefeuille d’Accor.

Le projet comprend également la création d’une académie de formation hôtelière destinée à former les talents locaux.

Selon les deux groupes, cette structure pourrait contribuer à la création d’environ 1 000 emplois directs dans le pays.

Accor renforce sa stratégie de développement en Afrique de l’Ouest

Accor indique que cette opération s’inscrit dans sa stratégie de croissance sur le continent africain et plus particulièrement en Afrique de l’Ouest.

Sébastien Bazin, président-directeur général d’Accor, souligne que ce partenariat doit permettre de « créer une offre hôtelière inégalée » au Nigeria, tout en renforçant la présence du groupe sur le marché.

De son côté, Shoreline Group considère l’hôtellerie comme un prolongement de ses activités dans les infrastructures et l’énergie. Son PDG, Kola Karim, estime que le manque d’offre de chambres de qualité au Nigeria représente une opportunité de développement importante pour le secteur hôtelier local.

BlaBlaCar Integrates Trenitalia, Expands Rail Offering in France

BlaBlaCar continues to expand its multimodal offering in France.

The platform announced, on May 6, 2026, the integration of Trenitalia trains into its app and website, enabling users to compare and book journeys by train, bus, or carpool from a single interface.

This announcement follows BlaBlaCar’s ongoing opening to rail travel, which began with the SNCF in France, then with the Spanish operators Renfe and Iryo. The addition of Trenitalia thus completes a service that aims to be increasingly European.

Present in France since 2021, Trenitalia operates high-speed connections on the Paris-Lyon, Paris-Marseille, and Paris-Milan routes. The operator claims nearly 5 million travelers carried and a satisfaction rate of 97%.

Its network serves several major stations, including Lyon Part-Dieu, Avignon TGV or Marseille Saint-Charles, as well as destinations in Italy such as Turin and Milan.

With this integration, BlaBlaCar members can now purchase Trenitalia tickets directly, on par with the other transport options already available on the platform.

A Centralized User Experience

One of the key aims of this collaboration is to streamline the purchasing journey. Users can compare the various options — train, bus, or carpool — without leaving the BlaBlaCar environment, and complete their booking without being redirected to third-party sites.

This centralized approach also extends to new conversational usages. The Trenitalia offering is accessible via the BlaBlaCar app integrated with ChatGPT, enabling travel searches in natural language.

For Erwin Coffy, BlaBlaCar’s commercial director, this development marks “a decisive step” in the group’s strategy, with the ambition to become a reference platform for long-distance journeys, by focusing on transparency of offers and price comparisons.

On his side, Marco Caposciutti, president of Trenitalia France, emphasizes that this partnership aims to increase the visibility of rail travel and to reach new customers, especially those seeking simple and centralized solutions.

The Train, a Growth Driver for BlaBlaCar

Beyond expanding the offering, rail travel appears as a growth lever for BlaBlaCar. According to the company, one in four bookings is made by a new user, while 70% of train customers were already using its carpool or bus services.

Atlantic Airways Expands Faroe Islands Service from Paris

The Faroe Islands are gaining visibility in the French market.

Since April 24, 2026, Atlantic Airways has been operating a seasonal direct link between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Vágar Airport.

After a start with two weekly frequencies, the carrier has shifted to three flights per week since May 27, 2026, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, until September 4. The service will then continue at two rotations per week until October 16, 2026.

The stated objective is to meet growing demand for nature-based destinations that remain pristine and easily accessible from France.

With a non-stop flight time of 2 hours 40 minutes, the Paris–Vágar link places the Faroe Islands among the territories closest to the European Far North.

For a long time kept off the European tourist circuits, the Faroe Islands are now attracting travelers seeking more immersive experiences, away from saturated destinations.

A destination oriented toward more responsible tourism

Spring and early summer are the best periods for exploring the archipelago: increased daylight, optimal hiking conditions, and easier access to maritime excursions.

In this context, Visit Faroe Islands continues to promote a more responsible approach to tourism through its campaign “Please Visit Responsibly”.

This initiative encourages visitors to adopt respectful behaviors: protect wildlife, close gates, reduce noise levels, and favor local operators.

A move backed by Atlantic Airways, which invites its passengers to inform themselves about these best practices before their departure.

In addition to this seasonal direct link, the airline also provides annual connectivity via Copenhagen in partnership with Air France, thereby strengthening the archipelago’s accessibility from several European markets.

Hurtigruten Expands Signature Cruises with Three New Itineraries in Norway

Hurtigruten strengthens its premium offering in Norway for the 2027-2028 seasons. The company has just unveiled its new brochure featuring several novelties on its Signature cruises, including three “Limited Edition” itineraries designed to deepen immersion along the Norwegian coast.

These new voyages will be offered in an all-inclusive package with beverages included and French-speaking staff.

Among the main novelties is “The Odyssey at the Heart of the Fjords”, an eight-day itinerary between Bergen and Ålesund offered in spring and autumn 2027-2028.

Hurtigruten promises here a “slower and more immersive” approach to the fjords of western Norway, with sailings through the heart of the Sognefjord, the Hardangerfjord or Lysefjord, in areas difficult for large ships to access.

Launch of the Arctic Line

Another novelty : “The Boreal Odyssey”, an eight-day winter cruise departing from Tromsø to Honningsvåg. The itinerary emphasizes Norway’s Arctic landscapes, the Lofoten Islands, Finnmark and the Lyngen Alps, with several panoramic sailings beyond the Arctic Circle.

The company is also launching “The Arctic Line”, a crossing between Copenhagen and Tromsø, offered in both directions. Hurtigruten notes that the itinerary will pass the Arctic Circle twice to maximize chances of seeing the aurora borealis, with overnight stays in Alta and Tromsø.

Hurtigruten also reiterates its two flagship Signature cruises: “The Spitsbergen Line”, between Bergen and Longyearbyen, and “The North Cape Line”, between Oslo and Honningsvåg.

These premium itineraries rely on longer port calls, all-inclusive dining, and deeper exploration of the Norwegian landscapes.

Coastal Express and the Promise of the Northern Lights

In parallel, the company continues to highlight its iconic Coastal Express connecting Bergen to Kirkenes for more than 130 years. Hurtigruten also plans several departures with French-speaking guides on its themed cruises around the fjords, the Lofoten Islands, the North Cape or the Northern Lights.

The 2027-2028 brochure also emphasizes land extensions, scenic trains and more than 70 seasonal optional excursions.

Finally, Hurtigruten extends from September 20 its “Aurora Promise”, a commercial guarantee that has become one of the company’s hallmarks. If no aurora borealis is observed during certain eligible winter itineraries of 11 days or more, Hurtigruten offers its clients a new classic cruise the following year.

GNV Expands into Morocco with Two LNG-Powered Ferries

Morocco now occupies a central place in GNV’s Mediterranean ambitions. On the occasion of the christening of the GNV Aurora in Tangier, the MSC Group’s company announced the deployment of its two newest ships, the GNV Aurora and the GNV Virgo, on the routes linking Tangier to Barcelona and Genoa.

The two vessels are powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), a fuel viewed as a transitional solution toward more sustainable alternatives such as bio-LNG or synthetic LNG.

Present in Morocco for nearly twenty years, GNV has carried around six million passengers there. In 2025, more than 465,000 travelers used its Moroccan routes, making the Kingdom one of its most important markets.

The deployment comes as Marhaba operation approaches, the broad summer movement of Moroccans living in Europe back to their homeland, which each year mobilizes several million travelers.

A €1.3 billion investment

The GNV Aurora fits into a broad fleet renewal program valued at €1.3 billion. Eight new ferries are due to be delivered by 2030, four of them starting in 2027. For the group, this investment aims to improve both the ships’ environmental performance and the passenger experience.

“Our long-standing presence in Morocco has developed steadily over the years,” said Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman of the MSC Cruises division and chairman of GNV. According to him, the Kingdom is a strategic link to strengthen the company’s Mediterranean network.

Measuring 218 meters in length with a gross tonnage of 53,000, the GNV Aurora can accommodate more than 1,700 passengers in 426 cabins and carry 2,780 linear meters of freight.

The vessel is equipped with technologies aimed at reducing its environmental footprint, including onshore power supply, heat recovery systems, and energy optimization solutions.

Up to 50% fewer CO₂ emissions

According to GNV, these features enable a reduction in CO₂ emissions of up to 50% per unit carried compared with the previous generation of ferries, while also reducing emissions of nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides and fine particulates. The vessel complies with IMO Tier III environmental standards.

Beyond passenger transport, GNV also aims to strengthen trade exchanges between Europe and Morocco via the Tanger Med port, which has become one of Africa’s major logistics hubs.

The company also believes that the outlook linked to the 2030 FIFA World Cup, jointly hosted by Morocco, Spain and Portugal, should further boost mobility and tourism flows between the two shores of the Mediterranean.

Rail Europe expands its offering by integrating the Leo Express company.

Founded in 2010, it relies on a Central European network that spans four countries (the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Germany).

It now enables Rail Europe users to plan cross-border itineraries in just a few clicks. Major tourist destinations such as Prague, Krakow, Warsaw, Ostrava, and Olomouc become directly interconnected and accessible on a single interface.

For Björn Bender, CEO of Rail Europe, this alliance is a direct response to the historical complexities of European rail. “ European rail transport remains too fragmented and too complex to use beyond borders. Our mission at Rail Europe is to make it simpler,” he says. The executive also highlights the crucial opportunity represented by this timetable, as demand for summer travel is accelerating.

Immediate integration across all distribution channels

Operationally, this new offering is already fully functional and targets the entire travel ecosystem. Individual customers (B2C) can book directly via Rail Europe’s website or its next-generation mobile app.
