Offers and Tools for Tourism Professionals

As a wholesale broker and administrator, Assur-Travel has developed modular travel insurance ranges tailored to the needs of tourism professionals.

Since the health crisis, travelers have become more attentive to the guarantees included in their policy. They seek coverages that fit their situation, easy to understand, effective in case of unforeseen events, while remaining affordable and supported by rapid assistance.

Beyond its insurance solutions, the Lille-based company provides tourism professionals with a set of tools and services designed to facilitate the marketing of its offerings and to support them daily in their business.

Innovative tools to simplify management

The opening of an account with our sales team gives you access to a set of tools designed to facilitate the marketing of our travel insurance products and to support you on a daily basis.

Among them, an intuitive e-learning platform allows you to train at your own pace on all topics related to travel insurance. The modules cover, among other things, the guarantees of the contracts, how to present them to clients in plain language, sales techniques, the declaration and monitoring of claims, and the regulatory framework of the profession. Numerous practical cases and content dedicated to tourism trades enrich the training.

Accessible at any time, this platform enables everyone to progress according to their availability, with no calendar constraints. Knowledge is validated through interactive quizzes, up to earning a certification attesting to the training path.

Assur-Travel also provides a credit card comparator. This tool allows you to compare, in just a few clicks, the guarantees of a travel insurance contract with those of the client’s credit card, regardless of their bank or card tier (Classic, Gold, Infinite, etc.).

Partners also have a secure underwriting extran et, a true centralized management space. They can subscribe to contracts, declare and track claims in real time, consult the general terms and conditions, access the amount of their incentives and find all the tools at their disposal, including the credit card comparator.

Finally, always with the aim of fully automating subscriptions, increasing productivity and centralizing information, web services and APIs have been developed by our IT developers to integrate the sale of insurance with that of travel.

Access to digital tools designed to simplify the management of your business and boost productivity!

Human resources for tailored responses

All based in Villeneuve-d’Ascq in the north of France, most Assur-Travel employees speak multiple languages.

To ensure efficient after-sales service and to cope with the surge in activity, the claims department has added 10 new people in the last six months.

That’s around forty people dedicated solely to handling your files and answering all your questions, immediately by phone or email.

Our motto: ensure processing times and, above all, reimbursements that do not exceed five days!

For our major account clients we go even further by assigning them a dedicated account manager who knows all processes and can address each of the client’s issues. A relationship of trust is established, and communication is facilitated.

Finally, to energize the network, we offer webinars and training sessions remotely or in person (on request), depending on the needs and topics of our partners.

A quarterly newsletter is published to inform about our latest news.

If you wish to work with a human-sized company, with contacts who provide tailored answers, do not hesitate to choose Assur-Travel to support you.

Agency Training: Myriam Tord Adds a New String to Her Bow

DGT Academy et Formations font le plein de nouveautés en cette année 2026 - DR

CroisiEurope

I don’t know if there are good or bad career paths, but if I had to summarize professional life, I’d tell you it is first and foremost about encounters.

And this adaptation of a philosophical message from an old Egyptian scribe could very well apply to many opportunities in the tourism sector. It’s not Alexandre Alary and Myriam Tord who would disagree.

One of France’s most famous travel agents is changing dimension and, for a while, stepping out of her storefront to don a new suit. A shift into a different realm that arose from a meeting and numerous discussions.

We have known each other for a number of years. She wanted to evolve and also diversify her activity.

Myriam wants to teach and pass on knowledge; we were looking for a way to start this, and we have just found it. It was also important for us, as for her, that we could work together. It’s a joint project.

Travel agents want people who are in the ecosystem, who know the tourism industry and their daily life, not personalities arriving from I don’t know where,
” explains Alexandre Alary.

Myriam Tord : “we must highlight our added value”

The employee of Versailles Voyages will therefore participate in the in-person workshop, a full day titled “Customer relations: strengthening your bearing with confidence and serenity.”

The first wave of trainings is scheduled to begin on March 25, then on April 7 and 16, 2026. The sessions are planned to accommodate between 5 and 12 professionals.

Myriam Tord, currently in the final tuning phase, thus adds a new string to her bow. She oscillates between the joy of teaching and the anxiety of meeting the expectations of her peers, but also her own.

One who is accustomed to interventions at IFTM Top Resa or other events is preparing with the intention of bringing real added value to her colleagues: to go beyond the superficial and delve into the blocking points.

The aim is to move from theory to the concrete, not stay in theory: that’s often the pitfall, and what is missing in this type of training.

We often hear ‘you must do this or that,’
, without really knowing what we talk about on a daily basis.

I will rely a lot on my experience, on what I have tested and the setbacks I’ve faced as a travel agent, but also on all the feedback I get from salespeople or from the Helpdesk.

I want travel agents to come and challenge me on cases they have, so we can dissect them and refine their knowledge.

The idea is to give tips to agencies that want to stand out through human interaction. we told Myriam Tord.

During the day, participants will therefore learn to highlight their strengths.

The challenge is also to make clients aware that in front of them are not people selling pre-packaged trips, but people who care about service, advice and listening.

Myriam Tord : “We are not sellers, we create a real connection”

To make our sector more attractive, we must ensure that those who are in the role are motivated, calm in what they do.

We are not sellers, we create a real connection, all within the context of evolving customer relations.

The throughline of my career has always been to highlight the profession.

This happens through training, updating customer relations, and the question: how to be a travel agent? Because, to avoid continued stigmatization, we must highlight our added value, and ensure that it is perceptible to clients,
” she says.

The sessions are already attracting a healthy turnout, but there are still a few spots left.

Other trainings will take place at DGT Formations on the topic of management, titled “Leadership & Interpersonal Communication,” led by Adeline Musset-Sullivan, a name you know well.

AI will of course be on the agenda with a day for “Optimizing productivity and sustainability through AI“, with Lucile Violet-Parlange.

Travel agents want to understand AI, but especially have use cases, exercises that match their issues, and see how generative AI can be a solution.

Lucile has the advantage of having worked in many tourism organizations: she knows the stakes and the needs of professionals.

That’s not all, because we also have innovations on the
DGT Academy, the platform accessible 24/7, which has had a good start,” shares Alexandre Alary.

DGT Academy: from online training to in-person events

This site allows industry players to maintain their knowledge and advance their skills throughout the year, whether on destinations with an eco-responsible angle, but also on other professional topics.

In total, more than 70 agencies have access to the content, and discussions with networks are underway to push this figure beyond 100.

We find micro-trainings, webinars or technical materials there.

We also offer the possibility to discover or rediscover providers. There was Cocohop in particular, which drew a large crowd. Then, we will have appointments to reveal what the Travel Life label is.

Assurever will present its innovations there, etc. APG France will join the platform to transmit its DNA, via Antoine Huet: thus all their news. They will organize webinars and share resources.

The Quimbaya Latin America receptive operator will also arrive in a few days, represented by Claudia Terrade.
We are in discussions with other partners and destinations.

Because this is new, professionals needed to adopt it, and eventually word-of-mouth brought in the agencies. Beyond the platform, we are considering the creation of in-person events. We are building a community that would need to meet and exchange in person.

We want to redefine the rules of event management, in connection with destinations and themes. All on a human scale, in a quality and entertaining moment,
” reveals the director of DGT Formations and Academy.

“The industry has moved into a different phase on the sustainability topic”

In recent months, echoing companies relocating their employees to their offices, in-person presence has made a strong comeback.

The sustainability aspect, however, has not entirely disappeared from the program; it has simply blended into the content. Although the term isn’t marketable and a bit vague, travel agents must be proactive, and to do that, they must be trained on the products.

We propose discovering countries from a different angle, with meaning, all within an eco-responsible vision. I think the industry has entered a new phase on sustainability: proof is the village of sustainable initiatives at the last IFTM Top Resa.

Our trainings are anchored in the core métier, in the product, and they incorporate destinations from another angle, with meaning, all within an eco-responsible vision, then by sourcing engaged providers.

We created Desti’Durable, in response to this issue of unfamiliarity and the challenge of tools and agency sourcing,
” concludes Alexandre Alary.

And indeed, on the edutour 2.0, new features are expected very soon, such as the name of the future destination.

Prodesti Strengthens Governance and Plans New Training Formats

Prodesti renforce sa gouvernance l’arrivée de Frédéric d’Hauthuille comme associé et directeur du développement - Photo : F. d’Hauthuille

CroisiEurope

Prodesti, the training organization specializing in destination expertise and Qualiopi-certified, announces the appointment of Frédéric d’Hauthuille as a new partner and development director.

This appointment is part of a strategy to consolidate the offering and to structure the organization’s activities.

Already involved in Prodesti’s ecosystem, Frédéric d’Hauthuille had completed training in 2024 before joining the team of instructors, notably on modules dedicated to Tanzania and the Philippines.

He has also been teaching for several years at tourism and business schools.

A Structured Management Team

With this addition, the management committee is strengthened around its cofounder and CEO, Luis Roche.

The organization is now structured around three hubs: Adrien Champagnat in charge of commercial operations; Gaël Lejay overseeing pedagogy; and Frédéric d’Hauthuille directing development.

The stated objective is to continue the organization’s growth while consolidating its position in technical training aimed at travel agencies and tour operators.

An Expanding Training Offer

Prodesti currently offers a catalog covering 36 destinations worldwide.

The trainings, lasting 3 hours and 30 minutes, are available at two levels: “Connoisseur” to acquire the basics of a destination, and “Specialist” to deepen itineraries and offer more specialized experiences.

Primarily delivered via videoconference, these trainings can also be organized in person on request from some agencies. The organization further states that it is working on launching e-learning modules to adapt to the constraints faced by tourism professionals.

Prodesti has also begun steps to make its trainings eligible for the Personal Training Account (CPF), in addition to funding already accessible through the OPCOs.

Furthermore, in a bid to maintain the on‑the‑ground expertise of its instructors, Prodesti renews its partnership with the airline Air Europa. This alliance is intended in particular to support ongoing training across several destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean, such as Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, or Colombia.

Dream Yacht

Prodesti announces the publication of its training calendar up to February 2027.

The Qualiopi-certified organization highlights a pedagogical model focused on on-the-ground expertise. The trainings are led by professionals actively working in the field, such as product managers, sales managers or leaders of tourism offices, ensuring a practical and up-to-date approach to destinations.

The organization also emphasizes a strict neutrality charter, excluding any promotion of a specific provider. This positioning meets the expectations of travel agencies and tour operators.

In a market marked by often late registrations, Prodesti encourages professionals to anticipate their training plans in order to strengthen their sales capabilities for destinations undergoing rapid evolution.

A dense training calendar from May to July 2026

Several sessions are still open during the first half of the year, with modules of 3h30 spread across two levels: Connaisseur and Specialist, enabling a progressive upskilling.

Among the upcoming trainings scheduled:

Colombia: June 2 and 4
South Korea: June 3 and 5
Egypt: June 10 and 12
Thailand: June 16 and 18
Argentina: June 17 and 19
Panama: June 18
Sri Lanka: June 23 and 25
Namibia: June 24 and 26
India: June 30 and July 2
Japan & Costa Rica: July 1 and 3

These modules aim to enable professionals to acquire operational reflexes, receive sales guidance and gain deep knowledge of the destinations.

French Polynesia joins the training catalog

Among the new offerings, Prodesti expands its program with a training dedicated to French Polynesia. Scheduled for December 1 and 3, 2026, via a multi-company videoconference, it will be led by Anne-Laure Gohier, a renowned expert on the destination.

With over 20 years of experience in crafting tailor-made journeys across the Pacific archipelagos, she will provide operational insights on accommodations, logistical constraints and the specifics of the different Polynesian territories. Since 2022, she has devoted herself exclusively to this destination, known for its complexity yet highly sought-after in the luxury segment.

Another calendar highlight: a partnership between Prodesti and the Peruvian Tourism Office around a free training dedicated to Peru.

Two in-person sessions titled Connaisseur of Peru will be organized: in Marseille, on June 16 from 14:00 to 18:00 at the Mercure Vieux-Port Hotel in Marseille Centre Vieux Port, and in Paris, on June 30 from 15:30 to 19:30 at the Embassy of Peru in Paris. Information and registrations with Adrien Champagnat: [email protected].

This initiative aims to help travel agents strengthen their knowledge of the destination while discovering Prodesti’s pedagogical format.

Finally, Prodesti has already published its training calendar covering September 2026 to February 2027. The sessions are open for booking.
