Manor Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary and Aims to Grow

Manor fête ses 40 ans et veut poursuivre sa croissance - TB

CroisiEurope

On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, Manor intends to continue its development while preserving the fundamentals of its model, the network explains in a press release.

The French group of independent travel agencies now claims nearly 90 agencies and 2.5 billion euros in business volume.

President of Manor since 2022, Grégory Mavoian specifies in the release: “I did not take over a network to rebuild. I took over a solid group, the fruit of nearly forty years of work carried out by my predecessor Jean Korcia, the administrators, the teams and the members.”

Two additional agencies are set to join the group in September 2026

The group highlights the actions undertaken since 2022 to modernize its identity, with a new logo, a refreshed visual universe, a new website and a strengthened digital presence.

Manor has also created Manor Loisirs, with François Piot, to notably bolster its appeal to mixed agencies, positioned both in business travel and leisure.

“The quality of our partnership, the trust built with François and the results achieved have made Manor much more attractive to mixed agencies,” stresses Grégory Mavoian.

Another development: the choice of Wondermiles as the online booking tool for the network.

According to Manor, these various initiatives have supported a significant progression of its indicators. The number of agencies rose from about 60 to nearly 90, while the business volume advanced from 1.5 to 2.5 billion euros.

Two additional agencies are set to join the group in September 2026.

“The aim is to be stronger together”

Despite this growth, Manor states its intention to preserve its model based on the independence of its members.

The group highlights the pooling of purchases, tools, data, expertise and innovation, while allowing agencies to retain their own identity and their relationship with their clients.

Manor also asserts a specificity in incentives, with 100% of incentives returned to the members.

For the coming years, the stated objective is therefore to strengthen the resources available to the agencies without turning Manor into a standardized network.

“The aim is to be stronger together, never becoming a standardized network, and to make Manor the independent grouping that delivers the most value to its members,” the group states.

“A major announcement, which will mark the start of a new ambition for Manor”

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Manor will bring its members together in Venice. Eleven speakers from different backgrounds are set to participate in the event, with profiles announced in fields such as politics, hacking or professional chess.

Grégory Mavoian also announces that he will use the gathering to unveil “a major announcement, which will mark the beginning of a new ambition for Manor.”

Beyond this anniversary, the group plans to prepare its members for the transformations affecting the travel industry. Artificial intelligence, data, distribution, market concentration and environmental challenges are among the main topics identified.

Breathe in Travel Continues to Grow, Expanding Its Presence in Balkan Tourism

Climats du Monde

Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, but also Romania and Bulgaria: the Breathe in Travel network is gradually expanding across a large portion of the Balkans.

This growth rests on a philosophy the company has upheld since its beginnings: to be locally present to better know, understand and showcase the destinations.

A rapidly growing activity

These past years have seen a notable acceleration in the development of Breathe in Travel, with a significant rise in the number of travelers welcomed across its entire network.

This progression notably reflects the growing trust placed in Breathe in Travel by its partners and confirms the rising interest of European travelers in the Balkans.

Individual travelers, couples, families, groups, escorted tours or MICE projects: Breathe in Travel develops different segments while maintaining a strong emphasis on tailor-made journeys and authentic experiences.

This growth is also accompanied by the development of new partnerships with travel agencies and tourism players across several European markets.

A network taking shape across the Balkans

Breathe in Travel’s growth is primarily rooted in the field.

The company is progressively building a network of local teams, offices, and partners to directly manage operations in the various destinations it offers.

This presence enables Breathe in Travel to work closely with hoteliers, guides, drivers, producers, restaurateurs and local activity providers.

It also allows maintaining true control over the trips proposed: partner selection, itinerary creation, quality control of services, and traveler assistance during their stay.

The aim is not merely to add new destinations to a catalog, but to progressively build a genuine receptive network across the Balkans.

Violaine Fejoz, the Balkan passion in daily life

Violaine Fejoz

This adventure is also carried by the women and men who make up Breathe in Travel.

Among them, Violaine Fejoz, passionate about the Balkans and deeply committed to the company’s philosophy.

Through her travels and on-the-ground experience, Violaine has developed an in-depth knowledge of the region’s destinations. What she particularly cherishes about the Balkans is their incredible diversity: in a few hours, shifting from a bustling capital to a mountain village, discovering a small family-run operation, sailing along the Adriatic coast, or sharing a traditional meal with locals.

At Breathe in Travel, she participates in this drive to offer trips that go beyond the major tourist sites.

Her approach perfectly reflects the company’s DNA: know the terrain, prioritize encounters, and offer a more human way of discovering destinations.

This strong growth represents, above all, a new milestone for Breathe in Travel.

The company aims to continue its development, strengthen its local teams, expand its network of partners, and support more agencies and tour operators wishing to program the Balkans.

New destinations are gradually complementing Breathe in Travel’s historic markets, enabling the company to offer an ever wider coverage of the region.

Yet despite this growth, the philosophy remains the same: to grow without losing proximity to the field, local expertise, and the human dimension that define Breathe in Travel’s identity.

With activity continuing to rise and a presence that keeps expanding, Breathe in Travel today holds an increasingly prominent place among inbound tourism operators in the Balkans.

And for the team, the adventure has only just begun.

Taro: The Millennia-Old Tuber That Could Grow in Space

Taro first spread across the world in prehistory, notably aboard Polynesian canoes. Today, from Pacific islands to African savannas, it is the staple food for millions. It is best eaten well cooked, because raw it is toxic. With a flavor reminiscent of sweet potato, it is so nutritious that NASA even envisions growing it hydroponically… in its future space colonies.

Cape Verde’s Tourism Sector Continues to Grow

Le Cap-Vert continue son ascension, Desposit.photos.com

Top of Travel

Cape Verde doubles its number of tourists in 10 years!

This passage past the 1.24 million visitor mark is not an isolated peak, but the result of four years of uninterrupted growth since 2022.

After having first crossed the symbolic milestone of one million tourists in 2023, the archipelago continues to push its limits.

Thus, 6,120,204 overnight stays were recorded in 2025, an increase of +8.3 % (higher than the growth in arrivals, a sign that tourists stay longer or spend more).

The bed occupancy rate rose to 72 %, gaining 12 percentage points in one year, and as much as 20 points compared with 2022 (52 %).

These indicators prove that the Cape Verde model is not subjected to a fleeting trend, but rests on solid fundamentals, managing to smooth its visitation across all quarters of the year thanks to a diversified offering.

Cape Verde: Sal and Boa Vista, engines behind this record of attendance

While all ten islands of the archipelago benefit from this appeal, this historic record of 1.24 million visitors is largely driven by its two seaside powerhouses.

Sal Island remains the primary anchor of tourist flows, capturing 57.7% of arrivals by itself.

It is firmly complemented by Boa Vista, which records 24.4% of arrivals and shows an exceptionally strong occupancy rate, confirming travelers’ preference for its endless fine-sand beaches and its premier hotel complexes.

Together, these island pillars drain more than 82% of visitors, attracting a largely European clientele, non-residents representing 95.5% of total arrivals. Within this market, France stands out as the 4th global partner, with more than 120,000 travelers in 2025.

French tourists are distinguished by a strong appetite for green and cultural tourism. They feed the more preserved islands such as Santo Antão, renowned for its striking volcanic reliefs and hiking trails, Santiago, historic cradle housing Cidade Velha, or São Vicente, the archipelago’s cultural and musical capital, inseparable from the famed singer Cesária Évora.

A trend that demonstrates that, behind the overall record figures, Cape Verde is progressively succeeding in diversifying its sectors.
