The World Tourism Show announces the creation of the Travel Business Hub, a space dedicated to exchanges among tourism professionals.

According to the press release published by the organizer, this new gathering will take place on Thursday, March 11, 2027 and Friday, March 12, 2027, in Hall 7.1 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, in parallel with the consumer show, scheduled through March 14.

The Travel Business Hub will be organized around three zones. The Travel Business Meetings will allow professionals to arrange meetings with potential partners and the media. Ten Travel Meeting Suites will be available for booking for the two days.

The Travel Business Workshops will host conferences focused on market trends, industry evolutions, and the challenges facing the tourism sector. Finally, the Travel Business Lounge will be devoted to informal exchanges and networking.

Several Partners Already Announced

“With the Travel Business Hub, the World Tourism Show offers a new mid-year business appointment,” explains Christel Marzullo, the show’s director, in the press release.

Destinations, tourism organizations, tour operators, travel agencies, hoteliers and carriers are among those targeted by this new space.

L’Adonet, les Entreprises du Voyage, Tourisme & Handicaps, la Fédération française des techniciens et scientifiques du tourisme (FFTST) et TourMaG are among the announced partners.

Professionals will also be able to couple their participation in the Travel Business Hub with a presence at the consumer show, which welcomed more than 73,300 visitors in 2026, according to the organizer.

Michel Messager Publishes a New Book: A Plea for Space Research

It has been a long time, more than fifteen years now, that Michel Messager, a recognized specialist in the field of space tourism, speaks to us and writes about the subject (he is on his 9th book) on the topic.

But this time, as the founder of the Think Tank “Space Consult“, on the eve of this year’s presidential cycle, he aims to set the record straight in this field by publishing the book “A Plea for Space Research”.

Still an easy read, this volume targets those who are already interested in the space sector or who want to form a clearer idea of the usefulness of venturing into space, through numerous concrete examples presented across five thoroughly documented chapters:

– The contributions of Space to Medicine.

– The contributions of Space to Pharmacology and Vaccines.

– The contributions of Space to Daily Life.

– The contributions of Space to Economics and Business.

– The contributions of Space to Employment.

A Book Devoted to the Spin-Offs of Space Research in Our Daily Lives

Across the two hundred pages that make up this book, one learns a lot of things, most of which are unknown to the general public. Thus, did you know that:

The insulin pump was invented by Robert E. Fischell while he was working at NASA’s Applied Physics Laboratory and that these small pumps were originally used on Mars within the Viking landers to search for potential traces of life on the Red Planet.

Air-cushion shoes (Nike Air) were invented by Frank Rudy, an aerospace engineer at NASA,
who decided to apply technology initially developed for astronauts’ helmets to footwear.

After developing and testing for several years an “eye-tracking headset” in the ISS, we could thus apply this technology in the field of laser eye surgery.

We could also cite, in this contribution of space research: cardiac sutures, the PLX5622 drug preventing cognitive disorders, telemedicine, Ritonavir a drug used in HIV treatment, diapers, memory foam, scratch-resistant lenses, the marginal winglets of airplanes, GPS…

"Plaidoyer pour la recherche spatiale" un livre de Michel Messager

In this plea for space research, Michel Messager argues that it should be one of the elements of the candidates’ program for the presidency, recalling that Socrates, more than 400 years before Christ, wrote: “Man must rise above the Earth, to the far reaches of the atmosphere and beyond, for only then will he fully understand the world in which he lives.”

Disneyland Paris Announces New Parade and Space Mountain’s Return

Près de 225 croquis consacrés aux costumes, perruques et maquillages ont été dévoilés - Illustration : Disney-Artist Concept Only

MSC Croisières

On the occasion of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, held from August 14 to 16, 2026 in Anaheim, California, Disneyland Paris unveiled several innovations that will enrich its offerings in the coming years.

Highlights include a new daytime parade anticipated for 2028, a fresh interpretation of Space Mountain – From Earth to the Moon – and new details about the upcoming immersive zone dedicated to The Lion King at Disney Adventure World.

Disneyland Park will welcome in 2028 a new daytime parade, the first since 2017. Presented as an exclusive creation for Disneyland Paris, it will run daily and become one of the park’s new daytime entertainment highlights.

Led by Mickey Mouse and his friends, the parade will feature several iconic characters from the Disney universe, among them Jasmine, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Miguel from Disney/Pixar’s Coco. New floats will blend design with cutting-edge technology around the theme of magic and dreams.

The project required more than 10,000 hours of technical research and development, as well as nearly 225 sketches dedicated to costumes, wigs, and makeup.

Space Mountain Returns to Its Original Story

Another announcement concerns the Disneyland Park: Space Mountain will receive a new artistic direction inspired by its original incarnation, Space Mountain – From Earth to the Moon.

Opened in 1995, the attraction drew on Jules Verne’s novel and offered a retro-futuristic world paired with an immersive experience.

After ten years under the Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain theme, the ride is therefore set to reclaim the spirit of its initial design. The current version is slated to close at the end of 2027 to allow several months of renovation.

Disneyland Paris stresses that the project will not be a mere reproduction of the 1995 attraction. The work will include technical and maintenance improvements, new sets and props, and a redesigned queue.

The narrative will also be revisited, framed by an idealized vision of humanity’s early voyages to the Moon, rendered in a steampunk style faithful to the Discoveryland universe.

Disneyland Paris further notes that elements of the original scenery will be integrated with new installations, while the technical improvements accumulated over more than 30 years will be retained.

This transformation is part of the “New Magic” program, recently launched by Disneyland Paris to evolve certain historic attractions and refresh the visitor experience.

The Lion King: Scar Joins the Upcoming Attraction

At Disney Adventure World, Disneyland Paris is also continuing the construction of its forthcoming immersive zone dedicated to The Lion King.

The park revealed at D23 new details about the attraction, notably the presence of Scar in the form of an Audio-Animtronics figure.

The character will appear in a new confrontation scene with Simba, directly inspired by the film’s iconic battle. This will mark Scar’s first Audio-Animatronics figure presentation within this attraction.

The future zone will constitute the first immersive world dedicated to The Lion King in a Disney park. Work began in the autumn of 2025, after the foundations were completed, near Adventure Bay and World of Frozen.

The area will span roughly 30,000 square meters and will include the attraction, a shop, a dining space, and meet-and-greet areas for character interactions.

A Transformation That Continues at Disney Adventure World

These announcements are part of a significant evolution phase for Disneyland Paris.

The development of Disney Adventure World continues, notably following the opening of World of Frozen and several new experiences.

The next milestone announced will be the arrival of Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings, a ride inspired by the Disney/Pixar film Up, which is slated to open next year on Adventure Way, opposite Rapunzel’s Tangled Spin.

In parallel, free 20-minute micro-trainings will be offered over the three days of the show by KaviAR Academy and 360 Sharing. They will cover, among other topics, yield management, customer relations, management and the everyday uses of AI in daily life.

The Immersive Space will also host a presentation dedicated to Rambouillet Tourist Office, which is deploying an embodied agent across its territory.

Taro: The Millennia-Old Tuber That Could Grow in Space

Taro first spread across the world in prehistory, notably aboard Polynesian canoes. Today, from Pacific islands to African savannas, it is the staple food for millions. It is best eaten well cooked, because raw it is toxic. With a flavor reminiscent of sweet potato, it is so nutritious that NASA even envisions growing it hydroponically… in its future space colonies.
