360 Surf Travel Aims to Ride the B2B Wave

For more than ten years, Matthieu Ruty has nurtured 360 Surf Travel in defiance of traditional tourism models. Created in 2013 after a around-the-world trip with his wife, the agency specializing in surf stays built itself without a network, without a physical storefront, and almost exclusively in B2C.

Today, the leader aims to open a new chapter.

« Up to now, we worked very little with other agencies. But I sincerely believe we can offer them something on two- or three-week projects around surfing, kiteboarding or diving », he explains, with bold emphasis preserved.

This willingness to get closer to distribution is not unrelated to his recent presence at several professional events, notably the IFTM and more recently the Ditex. « I come mainly to understand how the sector works, meet the players and see where we can position ourselves », he notes.

360 Surf Travel: a niche expertise to share

A former agency director in the temporary work sector, Matthieu Ruty is not from the tourism world. A trait he embraces openly.

« Two years ago, I didn’t even know that agency networks existed. Today, I’m discovering an extremely dynamic universe with many players and many opportunities. »

Yet his company has carved out a niche. What started with four destinations now offers more than 120 surf destinations, 80 kite spots and just launched a diving-focused offering. Each segment now has its own dedicated site.

The year 2025 marked a turning point, with nearly 800 stays sold and revenue of €600,000.

« We were a small artisanal outfit. Today, one starts to think we can become a recognized player in our sector », declares Matthieu Ruty.

Understand Before Growing

For the moment, the leader advances with caution. Approached by several networks, he does not want to rush the steps.

« If I join a network, it’s to bring something. I’m still in a phase where I’m learning the sector’s codes, » says the CEO of 360 Surf Travel.

The same approach applies to a potential fundraising round. The topic exists, but remains under consideration.

« If one day we really accelerate, it will be to strengthen the teams, expand production and structure the B2B further. »

Goal: one million euros in revenue

Parallel to this, 360 Surf Travel continues its ascent upmarket. The agency progressively reduces the most “backpacker” products to better serve a more mature clientele seeking comfort and personalized experiences.

A member of the ATR (Act for Responsible Tourism), 360 Surf Travel also states that it is strengthening its environmental and social requirements in partner selection.

Despite a geopolitical context that has weighed heavily on bookings in recent months, Matthieu Ruty remains confident: « People always need to travel. They may wait longer to book, but the desire to travel remains.”

In the medium term, the clearly stated ambition is: to surpass one million euros in revenue within three years.

Booking Holdings Reorganizes Its B2B Business

According to Skift, Booking Holdings plans to create a new entity devoted to B2B.

The forthcoming structure will bring together the B2B teams of the three brands: Booking.com, Agoda and Priceline, in order to offer a unified proposal for partner businesses. The project is currently supervised by Omri Morgenshtern, Agoda’s chief executive, who had previously led the platform’s partnerships and B2B sales activities.

The American media outlet notes that this new organization will take the form of a genuine legal entity. The Booking Holdings teams are still working on the regulatory and HR aspects of this reorganization. At this stage, neither the head of this future entity nor its launch date has been announced.

Booking aims to ride Expedia’s success in B2B?

Still according to Skift, this reorganization comes a few weeks after the launch of BKNG Ads, a joint advertising platform allowing partners to access the audiences of Booking.com, Agoda and Priceline through a single entry point.

Among Booking Holdings’ B2B partners are notably Apple, Microsoft, Citi Travel, Air France-KLM, Lufthansa, Emirates, American Airlines and Southwest Airlines.

Skift recalls that Expedia Group, considered the worldwide leader in this market, posted in Q1 2026 a 25% increase in its B2B revenue, versus 8% for its consumer-facing activities.

Alma Mundi Accelerates Diversification into B2B and Luxury Travel

IFTM prenez RDV avec TourMaG

From the outset, Alma Mundi positioned itself on different experiences.

Its historical specialty remains Finland, and notably Lapland, with thematic stays in GIR.

« I am half Finnish; I was keen to open up to this culture », explains Tanja Duhamel, founder of Alma Mundi.

These trips, organized for about a decade with philosopher Frédéric Lenoir, are today the most in-demand. In 2025, they accounted for nearly half of the agency’s clients, i.e. 300 out of 700 clients of the tour operator.

But Alma Mundi is not limited to this destination. The agency also offers wellness stays with a distinctive approach. « You don’t just come to relax; you come to learn how to take care of yourself », summarizes its founder. Participants discover simple practices that can be reproduced at home, such as breathing or self-massage.

The offering also includes seminars open to the general public, on varied themes such as astrology, pet bereavement or an annual meeting with a a medium. « The idea is to cultivate an open mind », explains Tanja Duhamel.

The thematic cruises and a few longer journeys—always centered on a theme—complete the collection. In total, the agency organizes between 15 and 20 stays per year, with roughly 700 clients and a turnover near 1.7 million euros.

The kerosene shortage, a shadow over the outlook

Like many players in tourism, Alma Mundi must adapt to an unstable environment. The war in the Middle East, for example, has so far only a limited impact. « We are not positioned in those areas », states the leader.

However, other issues worry her more, such as rising fuel costs and tensions in air transport.

Another challenge: customer behavior has changed. « They book either very early or very late », she notes. This complicates planning and requires constant adaptation.

The sale of trips in France is also under discussion. Today, only one trip is offered, around chestnuts in Ardèche, in partnership with the Rustica store. « It isn’t easy to find a viable economic model in France », acknowledges Tanja Duhamel, in particular because high prices deter some clients.

In this context, networking becomes essential. Tanja Duhamel has joined Les Entreprises du Voyage and Femmes du Tourisme. « It’s important to exchange and support each other in the sector », she explains.

Several Development Avenues

For the coming years, Alma Mundi aims to develop a B2B activity by offering its seminars to companies. « The objective is to create experiences that are useful for teams, around well-being and personal development », explains Tanja Duhamel.

A second axis concerns B2B2C, with the establishment of partnerships with travel agencies to distribute its themed stays. The tour operator plans to enter the outreach phase as soon as the new season begins.

Finland remains a priority. After Lapland in winter and autumn, Alma Mundi aims to offer new stays in spring and summer, particularly in the southern part of the country.

Finally, the agency is positioning itself in higher-end travel. It intends to offer every year a “trip of a lifetime”. « The idea is to go to destinations that everyone dreams of, but in guided conditions, with a strong theme that makes sense for the participants. The first Polynesian experience was successful, with stays marketed from 13,000 euros per person. »

Frédéric Lenoir will be part of the journey. « We will address his preferred themes, while also delving into Māori culture and the wisdom of Indigenous peoples. »

Despite market uncertainties, Alma Mundi continues its growth by staying true to its positioning: offering different, more personal, and meaningful travel.

A growth dynamic driven by a pan-African ambition

Top of Travel

An economic engine serving SMEs and employment

A long-term vision for Africa’s tourism
