The new Winter 2026-2027 brochure from Mondial Tourisme is now being distributed to travel agencies and is available online.

For this new season, the tour operator continues to develop its in-house clubs while expanding its long-haul offerings and the options for departures from the provinces.

But before addressing the winter schedule, Mondial Tourisme also draws a few lessons from the summer of 2026.

While Tunisia and the Canary Islands stood out as some of the best-performing destinations, the summer period was mainly characterized by a shift in customer behavior.

According to Laure Chevrinais, head of communications at Mondial Tourisme, the traditional July-August peak is losing ground to the shoulder seasons. “We are increasingly realizing that July-August is no longer the peak season as we used to know it“, she explains.

The summer of 2026 was also marked by geopolitical tensions and concerns about air travel.

Announcements about possible fuel supply difficulties or flight disruptions may have contributed to delaying decision-making. Some customers reportedly favored waiting to book later, pushing more bookings to the last minute.

Three New Mondi Clubs in the Canaries

For the winter, one of the main development axes focuses on the Canaries. Mondial Tourisme unveils three new Mondi Clubs, bringing the brand’s total number of properties on the archipelago to seven.

In Lanzarote, the operator offers notably the Mondi Club Galeon Playa 3*, labeled Relax and available on a half-board basis, as well as the Mondi Club Beatriz Playa & Spa 4*, in all-inclusive format. In Tenerife, the Mondi Club Grand Muthu Golf Plaza 4* completes this new lineup.

This expansion follows a logic of growth in a destination capable of operating beyond the mere summer season.

The Canary Islands are indeed a destination that works year-round, both in summer and in winter. That’s why we want to strengthen a little more in this destination“, emphasizes Laure Chevrinais.

With these new addresses, Mondial Tourisme aims to consolidate a destination already well established in its portfolio and to offer more choices to agencies and clients.

Tunisia Remains the Operator’s Leading Destination

Tunisia remains the Mondial Tourisme’s main market. The tour operator claims more than 100,000 passengers per year to the destination, which is one of its historical focal points.

For the winter 2026-2027, the operator notably expands its lineup with the Welcome Meridiana 4* in Djerba. Already present in Mondial Tourisme’s programming, the property is now part of the Mondi Club range after several renovations.

The destination also benefits from a positioning particularly suited to the winter season, with a long-stay offer allowing travelers to chase sunshine a few hours from France.

Egypt Aims to Confirm Its Restart

Another market under close watch for the upcoming season is Egypt. Mondial Tourisme broadens its program with a new seven-night package titled “Treasures of the Nile to the Pyramids of Cairo“.

The product combines Cairo sightseeing and a Nile cruise, in a shorter format than the nine-night package “From the Pyramids to the Red Sea” that is offered elsewhere. The stay is marketed from €1,289 per week.

For Mondial Tourisme, Egypt had been one of the destinations showing signs of recovery before the recent slowdown linked to geopolitical context.

Before the conflict, it was really a destination that was rebounding very well. There was a small pause, but we hope it will start up again“, says Laure Chevrinais.

The choice of a new seven-night format should particularly help meet clients looking to combine several experiences without devoting too long to the trip.

Lapland: Regional Departures Reconfirmed

The Lapland is also among Mondial Tourisme’s bets for the winter.

Building on the success of the previous season, the operator is renewing departures to Finnish and Swedish Lapland from several French cities. Flights are scheduled from Deauville, Nantes, Lille, Strasbourg, Lyon, Toulouse, Bordeaux and Marseille, in addition to Paris.

The Mondi Club Sodankylä in Finnish Lapland remains at the heart of the program, with stays that incorporate the main Arctic experiences: dogsledding, snowmobiling, meeting reindeer, ice fishing, and the aurora borealis.

This regional departure strategy already appears to be paying off. “We can already see that it’s working very well“, confirms Laure Chevrinais.

TAP Air Portugal

Following the success of the Club Med Padel Cup in 2025, an event that brought together celebrities and French champions in Spain, Club Med is stepping up a gear.

Starting in October 2026, the Club Med Padel Tour will thrill enthusiasts of the sport across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with a dream finale under the Marbella sun.

The tournament will begin in October 2026 and will stop in several key countries, notably France, Belgium, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain and South Africa.

In France, the official kickoff will take place on October 2 at the 4Padel club in Boulogne-Billancourt, before visiting around ten major cities, including Paris, Lyon, Marseille or Bordeaux, until January 2027.

The winners from each country will meet in March 2027 for a grand international final at the Club Med Magna Marbella, with a all-inclusive stay for two people at one of the brand’s Resorts on the line.

Club Med Padel Tour: An Intergenerational Competition

The tournament aims to be accessible and faithful to Club Med’s values.

Organized in two distinct categories, women and men, it imposes a unique and original rule: the combined age of the two partners in each duo must be equal to or greater than 60 years.

This special rule has been designed to encourage intergenerational partnerships on the court.

Each regional stage will be designed as a festive occasion, featuring matches played in a competitive yet friendly atmosphere, musical entertainment with DJ sets and photo-call sessions, cocktails or aperitifs accompanying prize-giving ceremonies, as well as workshops for trying out leading-edge sports equipment.

Operational management is entrusted to Padel + Agency, founded by Robin Haziza, a prominent figure in the scene and former captain of the French national padel team.

This initiative strengthens Club Med’s positioning as a pioneer of the sport on holiday. The brand already operates 15 Resorts equipped with nearly 55 padel courts worldwide and plans to open additional courts in 2026.

Fire Devastates Club Med Building in Bali

No more than a scare for guests and staff at Club Med Bali.

The establishment, located on the Bukit Peninsula, in one of the country’s most luxurious seaside destinations, was struck by a violent fire on Friday morning, April 24, as reported by Spirit 45 on its social media channels.

The fire broke out on the second floor of the Agung restaurant, around 6:50 a.m., while the staff were preparing breakfast service. The flames spread very quickly. The images are spectacular.

It was in this establishment that continental buffets were served.

Fire at Club Med Bali: a building and its facilities reduced to ashes

In just a few minutes, the kitchen and the thatched-roof restaurant were completely ravaged and reduced to ashes.

Other dining options exist outside of the Agung, such as The Deck and Gourmet Lounge. It remains to be seen how meal service will now be organized without the main restaurant.

According to an Australian media, guests praised the staff and said they did not feel in danger during the operation.

The safety and well-being of our guests and our staff remain our absolute priority. We can confirm that everyone has been brought to safety and that no guest or staff member has been harmed,” said Michelle Davies, CEO of Club Med Pacific.

Local police say they have opened an investigation to determine the causes of the fire.

A chef mentions the possibility that a fryer containing oil that was too hot could have been the source of the blaze.

According to VOI, despite an initial rapid intervention using extinguishers, eight fire units were deployed on site, six of which belonged to Badung’s firefighting service.

Nevertheless, a two-storey building of about 5,000 square meters was reduced to ashes. This includes the restaurant, but also facilities such as shops, photo spaces, meeting rooms, and accounting offices.

Operations seem to be returning to normal on site.

Two years ago, Club Med Punta Cana experienced a similar mishap.

The kickoff of the summer season has begun for Kappa Club.

The concept of Boomerang Voyages’ tour operator this year rests on 32 teams already deployed across its various properties, mainly in the Mediterranean, but also at destinations farther afield.

Contrary to standardized formulas, Kappa Club promotes a travel philosophy focused on human support, with French-speaking teams tasked with ensuring a personalized welcome and facilitating the discovery of local cultures.

The concept notably hinges on the “Instants Kappa”, included experiences, up to five per week, enabling holidaymakers to explore their destination more deeply, at no extra cost.

These activities also reflect a clear commitment to promoting more responsible tourism.

Un coup de pouce tarifaire jusqu’au 13 mai 2026

On the ground, the teams are already hard at work.

In Crete, at the Kappa Club Mikri Poli Crete 5*, cooking workshops are organized in collaboration with local producers, focusing notably on the olive harvest and the preparation of traditional specialties. In Rhodes, the program includes cultural visits such as the Panagia Ipseni monastery or pottery workshops in Kalathos.

On Majorca, a summer novelty, immersive experiences are offered in Porto Cristo, combining local discovery with tastings of regional products.

To accompany this season launch, Boomerang Voyages is introducing a promotional offer that can reach -15% on the Kappa Club range.

Valable jusqu’au 13 mai 2026, it applies to bookings made during this period, with the stated objective of supporting last-minute sales as well as those in the off-season.

The list of clubs involved is accessible via the tour operator’s BtoB portal.

Bon Air Club Aims to Create a New Generation of Outdoor Base Camps

Bon Air Club veut inventer une nouvelle génération de « camps de base » outdoor - Photo Bon Air Club

CroisiEurope

Between glamping, sport tourism, and micro-adventure, Bon Air Club seeks to create a new category of tourist accommodation.

The young French company will open its first site in July 2026 in the Alpes Mancelles, with the ambition to roll out five outdoor “base camps” in France within five years.

Founded in 2025 by Ségolène Desplanques, Grégory Thibord and Pierre-Yves Le Gal, the company is betting on evolving traveler expectations: “We have seen several trends emerging: the rise of outdoor activities, especially among urban audiences, but also a demand for local travel with greater flexibility,” explains co-founder Ségolène Desplanques.

The concept sits at the crossroads of camping and traditional hoteliering. But the co-founder stresses the distinction from conventional outdoor-hospitality models.

“What we offer is a reconnection to nature through movement. We lean more toward outdoor sport and adventure,” she explains. The first site will eventually include 40 accommodations on eight hectares.

The concept rests on “base camps” that are open nearly year-round and designed for outdoor activities: trail, hiking, gravel biking, kayaking, rock climbing or bivouacking, all within easy reach.

The first establishment will open in Saint-Léonard-des-Bois, in Sarthe

The first établissement will open in Saint-Léonard-des-Bois, in the Sarthe department, in the heart of the Alpes Mancelles. Located less than two and a half hours from several major metropolises, the site has been chosen for its potential for outdoor activities.

The project, supported by Sarthe Tourism and the Pays de la Loire region, represents an investment of 6.5 million euros.

The base camp will include, at opening, 36 accommodations, a central refuge with a restaurant and an indoor climbing wall, a forest spa and several convivial spaces.

To reinforce the outdoor dimension, the site will also offer rental equipment and various gear dedicated to sports activities.

“We have an outdoor center with equipment at disposal, bikes, climbing gear, bivouac kits or gear for heading out even when it rains,” details Ségolène Desplanques.

Funding rounds completed with bank financing.

To finance its development, Bon Air Club has carried out several fundraising rounds, complemented by bank financing.

“We carried out two fundraisings in parallel: one for the holding company and another to fund the first site,” explains Ségolène Desplanques.

According to the co-founder, the financing of the first base camp rests mainly on a banking pool comprising three institutions, supplemented by private investors and regional support.

“The order of magnitude is around 7 million euros of investment per site,” she notes.

One site per year to build a national network of five base camps

Ultimately, Bon Air Club plans to open one site per year to establish a national network of five base camps.

The company favors redeveloping existing sites rather than building on virgin ground, particularly due to constraints linked to zero net artificialization (ZAN).

“Starting from virgin land to launch a tourism offer has become almost impossible today,” says Ségolène Desplanques.

The leader mentions notably taking over former holiday villages or small quirky accommodation facilities facing economic difficulties: “Many project developers struggle to endure over time without scaling up to a size that would allow hiring employees,” she notes.
