Vietnam Airlines signs a series of agreements to strengthen tourism cooperation

In parallel, the carrier has signed multiple cooperation agreements with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the National Tourism Office, Saigontourist and Airports of Thailand.

These partnerships cover joint tourism promotion, the development of joint products, the organization of edutours, and the improvement of the passenger experience at Thai airports.

For Le Hong Ha, the CEO of Vietnam Airlines, this new link and these agreements “testify to the airline’s long-term commitment to the Thai market” and its aim to strengthen tourist and economic exchanges in the ASEAN region.

Vietnam Airlines also emphasizes the strength of its network between Vietnam and Thailand, with numerous daily services to Bangkok via Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as connections to Phuket.

Along the southern coast of Sri Lanka, Khiri Travel offers an exclusive marine expedition across the Indian Ocean aboard a private catamaran. Designed to steer clear of the crowds gathered for whale watching, this experience provides a calmer, more intimate and privileged connection with the ocean and its wildlife.

Chathurika, a passionate marine biologist dedicated to environmental protection, accompanies this journey to share her knowledge and the stories gathered from years of ocean exploration. As the catamaran glides toward the horizon, the coastline fades away, giving way to a profound sense of calm and escape. A light breakfast is served on board while travelers observe dolphins roaming freely at sea. With a touch of luck, majestic whales may appear to elevate the experience, offering unforgettable moments in their natural habitat.

After several hours at sea, the catamaran anchors in a peaceful setting where guests can swim or enjoy a stand-up paddle session. Champagne, wine, cold beers and non-alcoholic beverages are served on board, while a refined lunch celebrating the flavors of the sea concludes this experience with elegance.

This journey also reflects Khiri Travel’s commitment to regenerative tourism. The trip includes a contribution to the OCEA project for restoring seagrass beds in Kalpitiya, supporting marine conservation while offsetting the environmental impact of the cruise. The result is a luxurious experience that combines relaxation, discovery and environmental responsibility.

In Luang Prabang, Khiri Travel turns a visit to the National Museum into an intimate and exclusive cultural experience. Housed in the former royal palace of King Sisavang Vong, constructed in 1904 during the French colonial era, this palace stands today as one of Laos’ most important historic monuments.

Since the museum closes to the public in the evening, guests are invited to a private guided tour through the salons and apartments of the former royal residence. For a privileged hour, the residence becomes entirely exclusive, giving travelers the opportunity to discover this place steeped in history in a peaceful and intimate atmosphere. Visitors explore remarkably preserved spaces, including the majestic throne room, the queen’s apartments, and the reception rooms once used to host foreign dignitaries. Each room reveals a facet of Laos’ royal heritage, blending tradition, diplomacy and cultural legacy, offering a rare glimpse into the kingdom’s past. The palace architecture elegantly showcases the meeting of Lao traditional style with the refinement of French Beaux-Arts. Delicate glass mosaics, gilded ornaments and refined interiors are bathed in the soft evening light, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance and sophistication.

Among the palace’s most treasured works is the sacred Phra Bang Buddha, a statue gilded with gold leaves and a major spiritual symbol of Laos, after which the city of Luang Prabang takes its name. Elegant collections of paintings, silverware, diplomatic gifts and cultural frescoes enrich the visit, while the private apartments of the royal family offer an intimate glimpse into life at the palace in former times.

From the main residence, visitors can also discover the royal barge shelter, the collection of vintage cars and the palace’s tranquil gardens, far from the bustle and crowds. More than a simple museum tour, this experience provides a privileged immersion into the soul of Laos, blending royal heritage, exclusivity and discreet elegance.

Australia Launches New Strategy Targeting French Travelers

Dream Yacht

Adelaide, May 2026. On Kaurna land of Tarntanya, in South Australia, the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), the largest professional tourism trade show in Australia, is hosting its 46th edition, bigger than ever.

For four days, the industry’s must-attend gathering brought together international buyers and Australian suppliers around 55 000 business appointments.

The context could have weighed on it. Since February 28, 2026 and the halt to long-haul bookings linked to the Middle East conflict, the industry had expected a cautious, perhaps dull edition.

But the opposite occurred. In the natural light of the Convention Centre, eyes and exchanges carried a rare energy. Several regulars describe it as one of the best editions since pre-Covid, in terms of conversations and the level of buyers present.

A form of resilience, very Australian, which gave ATE26 its distinctive atmosphere.

For France, a historic and strategic market, the show marks an important milestone. In a private room at the Convention Centre, Robin Mack, the new Managing Director of Tourism Australia, granted TourMaG a quarter of an hour.

What he says about the French market and the organisation’s new strategic direction deserves the attention of travel professionals.

Robin Mack: “A high-contribution traveler does not mean a luxury traveler”

“We can host a leisure traveler who travels widely across the country“, précise Robin Mack.

For French tour operators, the message is threefold

La première, durable, porte un nom : Green is Our Gold.

Government Launches Campaign to Boost Low-Carbon Tourism

Assurever Launches Ready2go: A Tool to Boost Last-Minute Sales

Assurever strengthens its support for last-minute sales with Ready2go

Booking patterns are evolving, and tourism professionals observe this daily in the field. In a context marked in recent months by geopolitical uncertainties, notably due to the war in the Middle East, many travelers prefer to wait before confirming their plans.

For travel agencies and tour operators, this will translate into an acceleration of bookings as departures near, with sales concentrated in the final weeks before the trip.

Ready2go, a concrete response to market needs

Listening to its partners and faithful to its commitment to accompany sector evolutions, Assurever launches Ready2go, a solution specifically designed to address the challenges of last-minute bookings.

Designed to support last-minute sales, Ready2go enables travel agencies and tour operators to offer their travelers a more competitive insurance option for bookings made within less than 30 days of departure, while guaranteeing them optimal coverage.

Thanks to its particularly attractive pricing positioning, the offering also represents a genuine commercial lever for distributors, allowing them to strengthen the appeal of their last-minute sales while generating higher margins on these cases.

A more competitive offer without compromises on guarantees

In a context where price remains an important decision criterion for travelers, Assurever enables its partners to offer a particularly attractive solution.

The offer benefits from pricing that can be up to nearly 30% lower than traditional offers, while maintaining an equivalent level of guarantees.

Ready2go includes a comprehensive multi-risk insurance, notably including a cancellation guarantee for all justified reasons, with coverage for epidemics, as well as medical expenses abroad up to €150,000. The cancellation guarantee is offered up to €8,000 per person or €72,000 per event, ceilings tailored to the majority of trips affected by last-minute bookings.

“Our partners have alerted us to the expected rise in departures booked at very short notice. With Ready2go, we provide them with a concrete, competitive, operational solution and a real margin booster to support them in this new market dynamic,” emphasizes Morgane David, Commercial Director.

This new offering illustrates Assurever’s ability to combine adaptability, responsiveness, and closeness with its partners. More than a product launch, Ready2go demonstrates a constant commitment to supporting tourism professionals with concrete solutions designed to meet the realities on the ground.
