Voyages Gallia Launches Gallia Andina, a Peru-Focused Brand

After Iceland, Peru takes the stage.

Voyages Gallia has just launched Gallia Andina; a new brand entirely dedicated to the South American destination. The objective: to capitalize on strong internal expertise to stand out in the market.

« Today, to emerge in the digital universe, one needs a distinct identity. Gallia remains a generalist brand, but some destinations deserve a specific positioning », explains Bruno Peynichou, CEO of Voyages Gallia.

This new entity was born from a human story. Antoine Ledent, the group’s marketing director, lived three years in Peru and his wife is Peruvian. An in-depth knowledge of the ground that led the company to build a dedicated production.

Beyond the classic routes linking Lima, Arequipa, Lake Titicaca, Cusco and Machu Picchu, Gallia Andina intends to highlight lesser-known regions, particularly the north of the country and the vestiges of the pre-Inca Moche and Chimú civilizations.

The offering targets both groups and individuals, with escorted tours, self-drive itineraries, and thematic stays around Peruvian gastronomy and hiking.

« We have already sold several groups to associations and corporate committees. The idea now is also to develop individual clients », says Bruno Peynichou.

To support this launch, several presentation evenings will be organized in the coming months in Paris, Toulouse and Lyon.

A strategy already proven with Iceland

The creation of Gallia Andina fits into a process already experimented by the group with its dedicated brand for Iceland.

« This specialization has allowed Voyages Gallia to be identified as a reference player for the destination, notably among groups », explains Bruno Peynichou.

« Travel operators today must provide real added value. This comes through destination expertise, trusted local partners and differentiating products »,
he adds.

This logic is also reflected in the group’s other productions, notably in Croatia where Voyages Gallia offers cruises on small yachts with around forty passengers.

Business travel remains the growth engine

Voyages Gallia lance Gallia Andina, marque dédiée au Pérou. @voyages gallia

If Peru is the year’s novelty, the main growth driver remains business travel. Voyages Gallia is expected to generate around 45 million euros in business volume this year, with EBITDA near 1.3 million euros.

Of this total, nearly 30 million euros come from business travel.

The growth is largely propelled by the signing of a pan-European contract with the American company Intuitive, specialized in medical technologies.

After managing the travel of the French subsidiary, Voyages Gallia has since late 2024 taken over all of the group’s professional travel in Europe.

This ramp-up required the recruitment of around ten additional employees and the deployment of a multilingual service covering five languages.

Golf, groups and technology on the program

The two other historic lines of business for the tour operator, cultural group travel and golf stays under the Golf Around the World brand, each represent around 9 million euros of business volume.

« We were already among the leading players in golf travel in France and we are now expanding into French-speaking Switzerland and German-speaking Switzerland with a dedicated site in French and German », he says. To support this strategy, a colleague based in Annecy is in charge of business development on the Swiss market.

At the same time, the company continues its technological transformation. Several automation projects are being studied to optimize the processing of requests and allow teams to focus more on advising and assisting customers.

For 2026, Bruno Peynichou presents a measured but committed ambition: to reach between 47 and 50 million euros in business volume while keeping the DNA of a human-sized company.

« We are not looking to become a giant in the sector. However, when approaching 50 million euros in business volume, one must be extremely structured », he concludes.

Perk Launches the First MCP Connector to Unify Travel, Expenses, and Invoices

Perk lance le premier connecteur MCP pour unifier voyages, Depositphotos.com Photo by dream4fx

Costa Rica

The company positions itself as the leading player in its category to integrate invoice reconciliation and event management via the MCP protocol.

This announcement comes amid a period of rapid growth for the startup, which recently raised more than one billion euros in funding and whose presidency is held by the French Jean-Christophe Taunay-Bucalo.

For him, automating repetitive tasks constitutes a major productivity lever for businesses: “AI must restore to employees the power to do what they love most: their vocation, their mission. The MCP connector from Perk is another way to achieve that. If you remove the work that was never the real job, there remains room for growth and for the people who truly count.”

Thanks to this open standard protocol, users can now formulate simple queries such as “Which Q2 invoices are unpaid?” or “Show me all flight lines for our cost center in Boston” to obtain structured answers and download supporting documents in PDF. The tool also integrates Perk Events management, enabling tracking of registrations, venues, and upcoming seminar sessions.

A Response to the Demand for Automating Enterprise Workflows

The protocol integration addresses a shift in how businesses operate. According to an internal survey conducted in June 2026 among 420 organizations, nearly a quarter (23%) already configure or connect AI solutions to their existing systems, with business travel at the forefront of processes professionals want to automate.

Nikita Miller, Chief Product Officer at Perk, emphasizes the operational simplification brought by this update: “Every team in a company touches travel and expense data, but most still spend their time rummaging through reports and switching platforms to find simple answers. It is this invisible work that this MCP connector eliminates, meeting teams in the tools they already use.”

The data consultation service will be operational from launch. The technical roadmap foresees, during the summer of 2026, the introduction of writing capabilities that will allow directly making travel reservations, submitting expense reports, uploading receipts, and managing approval and modification flows from compatible AI assistants.

Atout France Launches 2027 Palace Candidacy Campaign

Atout France lance la campagne de candidature pour la distinction Palace 2027, photo by Atout France

Costa Rica

The Palace distinction, established during the overhaul of the hotel ranking to distinguish the elite among five-star establishments, is about to renew its roster of holders.

The national network currently counts thirty-three certified establishments, after the addition of six new addresses at the beginning of the summer.

This honorary distinction, formerly awarded for a longer period, is now granted for a strict duration of three years by the minister in charge of Tourism, on the conclusive opinion of a specialized attribution commission.

To read: Palace Label: “The aim is to attract ultra-luxury clientele to France”

The historical foundations and objectives of the distinction

The creation of the Palace distinction followed the comprehensive modernization of the French tourist accommodation offer, initiated in 2009.

While the introduction of the fifth star aimed to harmonize French standards with international frameworks for high-end hospitality, it soon became evident that a category of establishments with extraordinary characteristics needed to be singled out.

The Palace distinction was thus designed as a promotional tool to highlight exceptional properties on a global ultra-luxury market that is increasingly competitive.

In order to preserve the rarity of this label, the State implemented in 2024 a structural reform of the attribution criteria.

In addition to reducing the validity of the title to three years, the new provisions increased the operating seniority required before applying and restricted the possibilities of waivers when examining the ranking criteria.

The technical eligibility criteria imposed on applicants

For its file to be processed by Atout France, a candidate hotel must imperatively meet four cumulative eligibility criteria, otherwise the application will be immediately rejected.

The first criterion concerns the length of activity: the establishment must demonstrate at least 24 months of continuous operation for a newly created hotel, or a minimum of 12 months if it is a reopening after total refurbishment that required a long-term closure.

The second criterion requires the candidate to hold a current five-star rating.

The third criterion governs the size of accommodations, requiring a minimum surface area of 26m2, bathrooms included, for each room. An exception to this size rule is tolerated for a maximum of 10% of the hotel’s total room count.

Finally, the fourth criterion requires the validation of all the enhanced criteria of the five-star ranking grid. These options on the general grid become mandatory for Palace eligibility, such as the presence of a spa, a fitness area, a valet service, or a minimum ratio of suites within the hotel, with a tolerance margin limited to a single unvalidated criterion.

The preparation of the application file

The application submission is carried out digitally by creating a personal space on Atout France’s digital platform. The technical dossier to be assembled must by regulation include several supporting documents.

This includes first the official application form properly completed, accompanied by the complete report and the control grid stemming from the latest five-star category inspection. The operator must also attach an official document by which they undertake to cover all costs related to the inspectors’ stay and to provide the corresponding invoices.

The centerpiece of the file consists of a presentation “book,” transmitted in digital format or in two paper copies.

This document aims to demonstrate how the establishment meets the 12 exceptional assessment criteria defined by ministerial decree, such as the building’s history, the aesthetics of the premises, or the legendary character linked to famous personalities. Hotels may supplement this submission with annexed documents illustrating their CSR policy, their commitments to the quality of working conditions, or their internal training plans.

The progression of the evaluation and control procedure

From receipt of the file, the instruction process unfolds in two distinct and eliminatory phases. The first phase is purely administrative: Atout France conducts a technical verification of the four eligibility criteria. If the file is validated, it is then transmitted to the Palace distinction allocation commission.

The second phase rests on a on-site qualitative evaluation. Two members of the allocation commission, experts in the hotel sector and the art of living, carry out inspection visits within the establishment to attest to its exceptional character. Their assessments are based on a subjective “faisceau d’indices” spanning overall aesthetics, the quality of personalized hospitality, the gastronomic offering, and the coherence of the guest experience.

Following these inspection visits, the candidate establishment is summoned for an official audition lasting up to 30 minutes in front of all commission members.

This step allows the hotel’s management to defend its file before the commission proceeds to voting. If the commission’s opinion is favorable, the Palace distinction is formally granted by decree of the minister in charge of Tourism.

Air France Launches Paris Stopover to Transform Layovers into Tourist Stays

Air France et Extime Travel lancent officiellement « Paris Stopover » - Depositphotos.com @alexeynovikov

Costa Rica

Shanti Travel Launches GIR 2027 Collection and Bets on a New Generation of Small-Group Travel

An Offering Now Structured into Three Ranges

© Tristan Scohy

CroisiEurope

To respond to this evolution, Shanti Travel is now structuring its offer around three distinct ranges to simplify the choice for travelers as well as for agencies.

The first, named Integrales, brings together major discovery itineraries. It covers the iconic Asian destinations with complete circuits designed for first-time discovery or for deeper exploration. Among the novelties is the program « Paths of Imperial China », a new addition entering the 2027 catalog and marking China’s return to the heart of the specialist’s offer. This range also includes itineraries in Japan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bali, and the Philippines.

The second range, Treks & Adventure, targets travelers who want to venture off the beaten path. From the high passes of Ladakh to the Torajan villages of Sulawesi, via the trails of Annapurna or the mythical cities along the Silk Road in Uzbekistan, these programs emphasize hiking, lesser-known regions, and on-the-ground experiences.

Finally, Shanti Travel inaugurates a third category dedicated to family travel. The first representative of this new range, Bali with Family, proposes an itinerary crafted with children in mind, featuring suitable activities and pacing designed so that both parents and children can fully enjoy the stay. Other destinations will enrich this collection in the coming seasons.

Small Groups of Manageable Size to Enhance Immersion

© Tristan Scohy

Beyond this new segmentation, the tour operator preserves what defines its GIR: groups limited to twelve participants maximum, with certain departures guaranteed with as few as two or four travelers depending on destinations, French-speaking local guides, including on trekking itineraries, as well as a Francophone support available before and during the trip.

This format allows for a more flexible approach to travel, access to more intimate accommodations, and fosters exchanges with local populations. Travelers also benefit from more personalized guidance throughout their stay.

“The Shanti Moments”, a throughline across all circuits

© Tristan Scohy

The 2027 collection also introduces a throughline named “The Shanti Moments”, present across all non-trekking circuits.

Four experiences punctuate the itineraries: a welcome meal to foster early exchanges among participants, a farewell dinner, an offbeat activity allowing the discovery of a lesser-known facet of the destination, and a high-impact experience carried out in partnership with an NGO or a local community.

The aim is to strengthen encounters, create a genuine group dynamic, and add meaning to travel by offering experiences that go beyond mere sightseeing.

A Response to Travelers’ Emerging Expectations

This evolution reflects a market-wide trend. Travelers no longer seek merely a well-constructed itinerary; they want to experience a collective journey while preserving a certain level of intimacy. The success of small groups hinges precisely on this balance between guidance, logistical comfort, and immersion.

With this 2027 collection, Shanti Travel aims to accompany this shift in expectations while reaffirming its long-standing Asia expertise. More than a simple catalog of circuits, this new offering expresses a commitment to providing journeys where meeting, sharing, and discovery hold as much importance as the sites visited.

Through this new organization and the arrival of new programs, the specialist thus confirms its ambition to make small-group travel a credible alternative between bespoke individual journeys and traditional tours, in a region of the world where cultural immersion remains one of the primary motivations for departure. Beyond exploring destinations, this format also fosters connections between travelers. Small groups naturally create a convivial dynamic, conducive to exchanges, sharing experiences, and, often, the birth of genuine friendships that endure long after return.

1,400 jobs are offered in France and 1,100 abroad, in Europe, Scandinavia, the United States, Australia, Asia and South America.

A Massive Recruitment Campaign

To ensure safety and pedagogical quality, Go&Live requires appropriate qualifications: BAFA and PSC1 for animators and health assistants, BAFD for managerial roles, BPJEPS or equivalent diplomas for sports positions, CAPES or Bachelor’s/Master’s degrees for English teachers.

Huttopia Launches Recruitment Campaign for a Traveling Photographer in Summer 2026

Le groupe Huttopia, via sa plateforme Bivouacs Huttopia, recherche un photographe ou vidéaste pour parcourir la France pendant l’été 2026 - Depositphotos.com @andrea.tabaro.gmail.com

CroisiEurope

In the framework of developing its platform launched in 2025, Bivouacs Huttopia aims to enrich its visual content library.

The concept rests on reserving bivouacs installed on privately owned lands selected across France, allowing travelers with a van, a roof tent, or a traditional tent to spend the night in authorized natural spaces.

The objective of this summer mission is to capture the experience of itinerant travel and the different environments on offer: lakeside shores, forests, vineyards, or mountainous areas.

The selected photographer will depart between June and September 2026 for a duration of two months. The itinerary will be undertaken aboard a camper van provided by Bivouacs Huttopia. The assignment may be completed solo or with a companion, depending on the profile chosen.

Along the journey, the candidate will be required to produce photo and video content intended to illustrate the visited bivouacs, highlighting the atmospheres, landscapes, and moments of life tied to itinerancy.

Open recruitment for non-professional profiles

No professional photography experience is required. The group places emphasis above all on a personal perspective, a sensitivity towards nature, travel, and vanlife, and an ability to tell stories in images.

Candidates must however be holders of a category B driving license for more than three years and available for a period of two months between June and September 2026.

The produced contents will then be used to feed the Bivouacs Huttopia reservation platform and the brand’s various communication supports.

Applications are open via this offer.

MÉDÉRIC Launches Next-Generation Campus for Its 90th Anniversary

Night Train: European Sleeper Launches Paris–Berlin Service

IFTM prenez RDV avec TourMaG

Departing from the Gare du Nord in Paris, on March 26, European Sleeper officially launched its new overnight link to Berlin, via Brussels.

The train left the French capital at 6:03 PM, marking the return of a direct connection between these great European metropolises, long absent from the rail network.

The convoy’s arrival at Berlin Hauptbahnhof, the following morning, prompted an official reception bringing together partners and institutional representatives.

This new link is part of the progressive development of European Sleeper’s network, already present on the Brussels – Amsterdam – Berlin – Prague axis. The company also plans to launch a night train to Milan from September 2026.

The Paris – Brussels – Berlin line will be operated at a rate of three round trips per week. In time, it will allow six departures per week in each direction between Brussels and Berlin.

A European and Sustainable Ambition

At the launch event in Paris, the founders of the company, Chris Engelsman and Elmer van Buuren, emphasized the challenges involved in developing the night train project.

They particularly stressed the need to gradually build a viable European rail network, while promoting market openness to new operators and improving the integration of cross-border services.

Present at the inauguration, Belgium’s Federal Mobility Minister, Jean-Luc Crucke, highlighted the environmental benefits of the project, noting a credible alternative in favor of low-carbon tourism.

He also recalled the commitment of the Belgian authorities to remove regulatory and technical barriers to such initiatives.

On the SNCF side, Olivier Bancel praised the cooperation among the various actors, stating that these partnerships help reposition rail as a central mode of transport in Europe.

An Accessible Pricing Range

The establishment of this link relies on the collaboration of numerous operational and industrial partners, including Train Charter Services, Wagon Plastron, as well as the Alstom and RAILPOOL groups. New players, such as RDC Deutschland Gruppe, also participated in the project.

Infrastructure managers in France, Belgium and Germany were mobilized to integrate this new offering into the existing networks.

On board, European Sleeper offers several levels of comfort, with tickets from €39.99 for a seated seat. Berths are available from €59.99, including reservation and bed linen.

For higher comfort, passengers can opt for Comfort Standard compartments from €99.99 or Comfort Plus from €129.99, with breakfast included.
