CroisiEurope

In the framework of developing its platform launched in 2025, Bivouacs Huttopia aims to enrich its visual content library.

The concept rests on reserving bivouacs installed on privately owned lands selected across France, allowing travelers with a van, a roof tent, or a traditional tent to spend the night in authorized natural spaces.

The objective of this summer mission is to capture the experience of itinerant travel and the different environments on offer: lakeside shores, forests, vineyards, or mountainous areas.

The selected photographer will depart between June and September 2026 for a duration of two months. The itinerary will be undertaken aboard a camper van provided by Bivouacs Huttopia. The assignment may be completed solo or with a companion, depending on the profile chosen.

Along the journey, the candidate will be required to produce photo and video content intended to illustrate the visited bivouacs, highlighting the atmospheres, landscapes, and moments of life tied to itinerancy.

Open recruitment for non-professional profiles

No professional photography experience is required. The group places emphasis above all on a personal perspective, a sensitivity towards nature, travel, and vanlife, and an ability to tell stories in images.

Candidates must however be holders of a category B driving license for more than three years and available for a period of two months between June and September 2026.

The produced contents will then be used to feed the Bivouacs Huttopia reservation platform and the brand’s various communication supports.

Applications are open via this offer.

MÉDÉRIC Launches Next-Generation Campus for Its 90th Anniversary

Minor Hotels Expands Its Africa Footprint with Two New NH Collection Hotels

CroisiEurope

Minor Hotels continues its African expansion.

Already present with the NH Johannesburg Sandton, the operator announces the signing of two new properties under its premium brand NH Collection Hotels & Resorts: one on Pemba Island, in Tanzania, and the other in Accra, in Ghana.

Both openings are slated for by 2030.

With more than 640 properties in 59 countries, the Madrid-based group aims to solidify its position in African markets, leveraging strategic destinations in West and East Africa.

Accra: first footprint in West Africa

The forthcoming NH Collection Accra will comprise 200 rooms and will be part of a modern mixed-use project in the heart of the Ghanaian capital, Accra.

The establishment will benefit from a strategic location, close to governmental, corporate and diplomatic districts, notably Jubilee House, and just a few minutes from Kotoka International Airport.

The project is developed by Swami India Ghana Limited, a real estate group active in West Africa and the Middle East. It will integrate hotel, retail and office spaces.

The agreement was signed during the THINC Middle East 2026 forum, confirming the group’s interest in major African metropolises.

“We are delighted to introduce the NH Collection Hotels & Resorts brand to Ghana, one of the most dynamic and promising markets in West Africa“, notes Amir Golbarg, Chief Operations Officer Middle East & Africa at Minor Hotels, in a press release.

Pemba Island: heading for the Indian Ocean

The second announced project, the NH Collection Pemba Island Resort, developed in partnership with Infinity Developments.

The establishment will count 145 rooms, suites and villas.

Located close to Pemba Airport, the resort will provide easy access from Dar es Salaam while preserving the exclusive and low-density character of Pemba Island, within the Zanzibar archipelago.

The complex will offer several restaurants as well as MICE facilities (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions).

This new partnership continues the collaboration between Minor Hotels and Infinity Developments around the ultra-luxury Anantara Zanzibar Resort & Residences, a project currently under construction.

“The introduction of the NH Collection Hotels & Resorts brand in Tanzania marks a major milestone in our expansion into the Indian Ocean“, comments Amir Golbarg, highlighting the island’s growing appeal to international travelers.

A hotel integrated into a low-carbon urban project

The future establishment is planned with a low-carbon design incorporating notably the use of local materials, reversible spaces, and a connection to the urban heating network.

The project also includes a green roof and developments intended to promote biodiversity.

It aims for BREEAM Excellent certification, with measures implemented to reduce the building’s environmental footprint.

A 209-room establishment under the TRIBE brand

The upcoming hotel will offer several common areas, a dining option, coworking spaces, a fitness area, and a meeting room.

It also plans an accommodation solution intended for healthcare professionals, for caregivers, and for patients of nearby hospitals.

Led by EXTENDAM alongside Banque des Territoires, Étoile du Nord Foncière, Caisse d’Épargne Normandie Immobilier Durable and Banque Populaire Val de France, the project is the subject of a VEFA agreement with Linkcity (Bouygues Group).

This future hotel will constitute the fourth establishment under the TRIBE brand developed by EXTENDAM.

Pierre & Vacances Opens Four Holiday Residences in Switzerland, Partners with TGV Lyria

CroisiEurope

For the summer season of 2026, Pierre & Vacances announces the opening of four new premium residences in Switzerland, located in various Alpine resorts.

In the Valais canton, two establishments will open in Val d’Anniviers: the Zinal residence, equipped notably with a restaurant, a gaming room and a children’s area, with access to mountain activities such as visiting the Zinal glacier, rock climbing, and mountain biking; and the Vercorin residence, which will offer a spa, a restaurant, and various activities such as paragliding or discovering the local wine heritage.

A third residence will be located at Thyon 4, in Val d’Hérens. It will notably include a restaurant with panoramic views and will provide access to a range of hiking and mountain-biking activities, as well as the spa at the Grands Bains d’Hérémence.

Finally, a fourth residence will open in Meiringen, in the canton of Bern, near the Sherlock Holmes museum and about twenty minutes from Interlaken.

Guests will also receive a guest card giving access to several local activities free of charge or at a reduced rate, such as the municipal swimming pool, mini-golf, tennis, or certain guided tours.

Make the Train the Gateway to the Swiss Alps

In parallel, the brand partners with TGV Lyria to promote a combined offering of rail transport and accommodation, with the aim of facilitating access to the Swiss Alps without a car.

This partnership takes place in a context where transportation accounts for nearly 70% of greenhouse gas emissions tied to vacations.

The two companies thus aim to encourage travelers to favor train travel to reach mountain destinations.

A subsidiary of SNCF Voyageurs and the Swiss Federal Railways, TGV Lyria connects Paris and Dijon year-round to several major Swiss cities, including Geneva, Lausanne, Basel and Zurich.

An additional summer link also connects Marseille to Geneva and Lausanne from April to October, with enhanced service in July and August.

“”With Pierre & Vacances, we concretely facilitate access to the Swiss Alps by combining low-carbon mobility and premium experience,” explains Éric Dehlinger, chief executive of TGV Lyria.

For Pierre & Vacances, this initiative is part of its strategy to develop mountain destinations accessible without a car. “The opening of Switzerland is a strategic milestone in our European development and strengthens our position as a leading actor in mountain travel“, notes Grégory Sion, the brand’s chief executive.

On the occasion of this launch, the two partners offer a joint promotion including -20% on stays in the Swiss residences and on TGV Lyria Standard class tickets. The promotion will be on sale from 16 to 31 March 2026, for trips and stays between 25 April and 12 December 2026.

Hospitality: Growth Shifts to Value Over Bookings

According to the 2026* report on hotel distribution published by D-EDGE, the growth of the sector now relies more on value creation than on increasing the number of bookings.

The study, based on the analysis of distribution data between 2022 and 2025, highlights several structural evolutions in hotel revenue strategies.

If the number of bookings continues to rise, the momentum is gradually waning.

After an increase of 8% between 2022 and 2023, growth fell to 2.8% between 2023 and 2024, then to 2.3% between 2024 and 2025.

At the same time, value generated per booking grows faster. Revenue from bookings rose by 8.4% between 2024 and 2025, driven notably by the recovery of the average room rate.

“The French hotel market is entering a stabilization phase where performance will rely less on generating new bookings than on the ability to maximize the value of each of them“, explains Swann Couston, France Director of D-EDGE.

“For hoteliers, the question is no longer just to generate more volume, but to optimize revenue per booking, the distribution mix, and the stability of revenues.”

Bookings Are Being Made Earlier and Earlier

Another notable development: travelers are booking earlier. The average booking lead time increased by five days between 2024 and 2025, rising from 33 to 38 days.

Differences remain pronounced by channel. The direct channel shows the longest lead time, with 47 days on average, indicating typically more planned demand. It drops to 35 days on Booking.com and 31 days on Expedia.

The distribution structure changes little. Online travel agencies (OTAs) still account for about 70% of booking volumes.

The direct channel, meanwhile, remains around 25% of bookings by volume, but weighs more in value, with around 33% of revenue.

After a slight dip in 2024, the average daily rate (ADR) rises again in 2025 to reach €192.66, i.e., an increase of 4.28%.

This trend affects all major distribution channels, confirming that market growth now relies more on optimizing the average price and value per booking than on increasing volumes.

The GDS, a Channel That Remains Strong

In this context of overall slowdown, luxury establishments stand out. The 5-star segment shows a 6.8% rise in bookings and a 12% increase in value generated between 2024 and 2025.

According to the report, this performance reflects a progressive market polarization, where value creation concentrates more on premium and ultra-luxury segments.

The report also highlights the weight of the GDS in value creation. In France, the average ADR via this channel reaches €233, a level close to that of the direct channel. In the 5-star segment, it even becomes the most contributive channel, with an average price of around €660.

Another positive development for hoteliers: the cancellation rate declines in 2025, from 24.6% to 22.6%. This drop is notably explained by the rise of prepaid rates and non-refundable terms.

Differences remain significant across platforms. Nearly 44% of revenue generated via Booking.com ends up canceled, compared with a much lower level on the direct channel.

AI Transforms Search, Not Yet Booking

Finally, the report examines the impact of artificial intelligence on hotel distribution. While channel balances remain unchanged for now, AI already influences the early phase of the customer journey.

Travelers increasingly use these tools to search, compare, and discover properties before booking.

* The D-EDGE Hotel Distribution Report France 2026 is based on the analysis of confirmed reservation data collected via the D-EDGE platform from a constant panel of more than 5,000 hotels in France between 2022 and 2025. The study analyzes booking volumes, revenues generated, booking lead times, cancellation rates, and the performance of different distribution channels to offer a detailed reading of the structural dynamics of the French hotel market.

IFTM prenez RDV avec TourMaG

The Grand Hôtel Spa & Thalasso in Saint-Jean-de-Luz will reopen on April 27, 2026, following its closure at the end of September 2025.

Upon reopening, the establishment will feature reimagined spaces, in keeping with this building dating back to 1900 and listed as a “remarkable building”.

The former thalassotherapy center and the spa, located facing the ocean, have been completely transformed. Technical improvements have been made, notably in terms of accessibility for guests with reduced mobility.

The common areas – reception, dining spaces and circulation paths – have also been renovated. The project was entrusted to Studio MHNA, which worked on the volumes, light, and materials, with a palette of natural tones and references to the local environment.

The Aho Fina restaurant will offer a dining concept focused on locally sourced products, while the Le Clipper bar will feature a menu of classics and creations.

A project led by the Elancia Group

The renovation was carried out by the Elancia Group, owner of the property, in collaboration with Studio MHNA.

The hotel, built in 1900 under the name Hôtel Terminus, was subsequently renamed Hôtel de la Plage, then Modern Hotel, before becoming the Grand Hôtel Thalasso & Spa in 1982. It joined the SFH Style Feeling Hotels group in 2001 and had already undergone a renovation in 2015.

The only five-star hotel facing the ocean in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, it comprises 52 rooms and suites.

The reopening accompanies an evolution of the wellness offering. The treatment menu has been redesigned around various approaches tied to relaxation, vitality, and well-being, using Thalion and Paoma products.

NH Hotels & Resorts Renovates Two Strategic Hotels in Paris

The NH Hotels & Resorts group continues to expand in the French capital.

Its parent company, Minor Hotels, announces a complete renovation of two Parisian hotels, located in strategic districts: the NH Paris Gare de l’Est and the NH Paris Opéra Faubourg.

These transformations are part of a move to tailor the offering to international clienteles while highlighting the existing architectural heritage.

Situated respectively near major transport hubs and in the heart of cultural neighborhoods, the two properties illustrate two distinct facets of Paris.

The first emphasizes its immediate proximity to Gare de l’Est and Gare du Nord, while the second is set amid the lively Grands Boulevards and Opéra area.

A New Identity for NH Paris Opéra Faubourg

Located in the 9th arrondissement, the NH Paris Opéra Faubourg has undergone a comprehensive renovation.

Housed in a Haussmannian building dating from the late 19th century, the property now asserts an identity that blends architectural heritage with a contemporary aesthetic, drawing inspiration particularly from the world of ballet.

The hotel offers 101 rooms and suites, some with balconies offering views of the Paris rooftops, and even the Eiffel Tower.

The interiors emphasize a warm atmosphere, with references to fashion and culture of the 1950s and 1960s.

The common areas, including a lobby with a fireplace and a bar, have been redesigned to provide a setting that is both intimate and functional, suitable for leisure stays as well as business travel.

NH Paris Gare de l’Est modernized and Europe‑oriented

Facing the eponymous station, the NH Paris Gare de l’Est has also been completely renovated. The property maintains an identity tied to the railway world, integrated into a contemporary and streamlined design.

The hotel now counts 207 rooms, some with balconies, as well as several renovated public spaces.

The positioning of the property rests largely on its accessibility: located in close proximity to two major international rail hubs, it enables rapid access to numerous destinations in France and in Europe.

The offering also includes five meeting rooms totaling 152 m², intended for hosting professional events. The facilities are complemented by dedicated services (catering, logistical organization, transfers), strengthening the hotel’s appeal to the business clientele.

These properties complete the group’s portfolio in the capital, alongside the NH Collection Paris Ponthieu Champs‑Élysées, which was recently inaugurated.

Marriott International Expands to Cape Verde with New São Vicente Resort

The Marriott International group announces the opening of its first property in Cape Verde, with the launch of the Four Points by Sheraton São Vicente Resort.

This opening marks both the hotel group’s entry into the archipelago and a symbolic milestone as Marriott’s 500th hotel “select service” in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Located above the Laginha Beach, in Mindelo, the property sits at the heart of the island of São Vicente‘s main cultural hub.

It combines a leisure-oriented resort offering with services tailored for business travelers.

A Strategic Presence in a Growing Destination

For Marriott International, this opening reflects Cape Verde’s rising appeal on the international tourism stage.

“Cape Verde is recognized for its vibrant spirit, its natural beauty, and its growing global appeal“, notes Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, vice president in charge of Premium, Select and Midscale brands for the EMEA region.

The property also marks the first resort-style offering of the Four Points by Sheraton brand in the region, and its first African footprint in this segment.

Nestled in a crescent-shaped bay, the resort offers 127 rooms and suites.

Its design blends contemporary aesthetics with local inspirations: wooden furnishings, artisanal lighting, patterned cement tiles and a color palette evocative of the island environment.

The interior architecture draws on Mindelo’s cultural references, notably its music scene and seaside atmosphere. A selection of artworks, including pieces by Raya Salman and photographer Joe Wuerfel, completes this immersion, alongside Cape Verdean artists.

Facilities Geared Toward Leisure and Business

The resort offers direct access to Laginha Beach via a pedestrian bridge, as well as an infinity pool with a bar.

The dining options revolve around several spaces, including a restaurant open all day, a poolside lounge and a rooftop venue that is set to open.

On the facilities side, the hotel also features a conference center with three meeting rooms, a fitness center with ocean views, the Essência Spa (sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and treatment cabins), as well as the Best Brews program, highlighting a local craft beer.

With this opening, Marriott International crosses several milestones: its official entry into Cape Verde, and the expansion of its select-service segment, which now accounts for more than 30% of its portfolio in the EMEA region.
