A New Matchmaking Program for the Business Club

© Stéphane Laure

For this 2026 edition, IFTM innovates on the business travel front by launching a pre-qualified 1:1 meeting program between Business Club exhibitors and corporate buyers.

Through the Everywhere platform, each participant selects their interlocutors in advance for targeted and relevant conversations.

On Thursday, September 17, starting at 8:30 a.m., i.e. before the official opening of the show, participants will gather in a dedicated and privileged space at the heart of the Business Club for five to six one-on-one interviews lasting fifteen to twenty minutes each.

A format designed to maximize business opportunities, without wasting time.

Competitions to Spotlight Tourism Talents

IFTM is also the hub for competitions that celebrate talent, excellence, and innovation within the sector. This year’s program includes:

● The 3rd edition of the Orchestra Start-Up Contest, part of the event’s 10th anniversary, will give tourism startups the opportunity to pitch their solution before a panel of experts. This year, emphasis is placed on the community dimension: Village alumni will take the stage to share lessons learned and create a real value chain among entrepreneurs. The winning startup will receive personalized support from Orchestra, which could take the form of financial support, mentoring, or introductions. The grand final will take place on Tuesday, September 15 at 5:00 p.m. in Arena by Uzbekistan.

● The 2nd edition of Plume Verte by IFTM x ADONET rewards journalists who put their ink to work for responsible tourism. New for 2026: a Special ADONET Destinations Prize joins the roster, alongside the Plume Verte prize awarded by the jury and the Village’s Coup de Cœur chosen by exhibitors. The three prizes will be handed out on Wednesday, September 16 within the Village des Initiatives Durables by mN’O.

● The 9th edition of the Travel Agents Cup Junior, organized in partnership with FFTST, invites tourism students to put themselves in a real-world situation: persuade and sell France as a destination based on a client scenario drawn at random. The five finalists will compete on stage on Thursday, September 17 at 1:30 p.m. in Arena by Uzbekistan, before a jury drawn from all tourism fields.

● Finally, the Travel Agents Cup returns to reward the best travel agent in France. Contestants first submit a short video introduction, then compete in a three-stage final: discovery of the travel project, preparation of the proposal, and a live presentation on stage before a panel of experts. The event takes place in Arena by Uzbekistan on Thursday, September 17 at 3:30 p.m.

The Show’s Evenings

IFTM also features iconic evenings that pace the show and extend the conversations in a friendly atmosphere:

● The Digitrips x IFTM evening, the festive rendezvous for industry professionals, will take place at Pavillon Dauphine on Tuesday, September 15.

● The ceremony of the Business Travel Laureates organized by Eventiz will honor the sector’s standout players on Wednesday evening.

● The IFTM TourMaG Party will be held on Thursday, September 17 to close the show, at Club Haussmann in Paris’s 9th arrondissement. Open this year to all tourism professionals, available by registration, it promises to bring together more than 700 attendees for a moment of conviviality and exchange.

With a dense program and a theme closely aligned with industry realities, IFTM 2026 is shaping up to be a demonstrative and impactful edition. Three days to reveal together what creates value in tourism.

The IFTM Team Is at Your Disposal and Eager to Welcome You from 15 to 17 September 2026

Government Launches Campaign to Boost Low-Carbon Tourism

Overseas Territories: Airlines Seek to Overcome Customer Inertia

Air Caraïbes, French bee et Air Austral ont ainsi annoncé le maintien intégral de leurs programmes de vols - Depositphotos.com @Pakhnyushchyy

Dream Yacht

Just like Air France this week, Air Caraïbes and French bee, the Dubreuil Aéro group’s airlines, have confirmed the full maintenance of their flight programs for the summer of 2026.

The two carriers state they have taken all necessary measures to secure their fuel supplies and guarantee their long-haul connections. They specifically cover services to the Caribbean, Guyana, the Indian Ocean, North America, and French Polynesia.

To allow travelers to book their holidays with confidence, the two companies are launching an exceptional “fee-free changes” campaign from June 4 to June 17, 2026.

This measure applies to all tickets purchased during this period, for journeys scheduled between July 5, 2026 and March 27, 2027.

Customers will be able to make one free modification up to the departure of the initial flight, subject to a possible fare adjustment if the new chosen flight is more expensive.

The arrangement covers all fares and travel classes offered on the long-haul networks of the two airlines.

Air Austral also expands its flexibility policy

On its part, Air Austral has also announced an exceptional commercial measure designed to offer greater flexibility to its passengers.

From June 4 through June 30, 2026 inclusive, all tickets purchased for destinations operated by the airline may be changed without penalty, regardless of the fare and booking class chosen.

This policy covers the airline’s entire network, both long-haul and medium-haul.

Notably affected are the flights between Réunion and Paris, Mayotte and Paris, as well as the connections to Bangkok, Mauritius, Madagascar or all Indian Ocean destinations served by the airline.

To read: Tour operators grappling with uncertainty, between waiting-and-seeing and relaunch plans

Through these initiatives, the airlines aim to respond to travelers’ concerns in an international context marked by numerous uncertainties.

By guaranteeing their flight schedules while offering greater flexibility on bookings, Air Caraïbes, French bee and Air Austral seek to secure travel intentions for the months to come

and provide greater visibility to their customers, whether they travel for personal, family or business reasons.

Coastal Safari and Swahili Heritage: Tanganyika Expeditions’ Iconic Destinations

Saadani Kasa Bay - Safari © Tanganyika Expeditions

Dream Yacht

Both located on the Swahili coast, these properties reflect a shared aim: to offer authentic, human-scaled experiences that allow visitors to discover the destination beyond the most traditional itineraries.

On one side, Saadani Kasa Bay provides an immersion in one of Tanzania’s most distinctive environments. Located in the country’s only national park where the savannah directly meets the Indian Ocean, this twelve-room lodge enables wildlife viewing, boat safaris on the Wami River, and exploration of the marine ecosystem.

Saadani Kasa Bay © Tanganyika Expeditions

From the other side, Emerson on Hurumzi immerses travelers in Zanzibar’s history. Set in a 19th-century Swahili palace in the heart of Stone Town, the hotel today stands as one of the most iconic addresses in the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its panoramic rooftop, renowned for its views of Stone Town’s rooftops and the Indian Ocean, contributes to its distinctive identity.

Emerson on Hurumzi © Tanganyika Expeditions

Although these two establishments operate in different spheres, they share a common philosophy: to highlight the cultural and natural identity of the Swahili coast through characterful accommodations.

For travel agencies and tour operators, this complementary approach enables the creation of programs that combine Tanzanian wildlife discovery, cultural immersion, and exclusive experiences, while relying on properties directly integrated into the Tanganyika Expeditions offering.

With Saadani Kasa Bay and Emerson on Hurumzi, Tanganyika Expeditions thus continues to develop a lodging offering coherent with its DNA: to reveal an authentic Tanzania and Zanzibar, far from the uniform standards of international beach tourism.

Quartier Libre: A Local Tour Operator Near You That Pampers You

© Canva - Quartier Libre

Dream Yacht

Stéphane Dossetto, Commercial Director, explains: “Despite a geopolitically complex context, we are staying the course we had mapped out. It must be said that we are fortunate to be positioned on nearby and safe destinations. We benefit from certain postponements.

Our production includes classics, enriched with new offerings, with departures guaranteed on our main routes. And always accompanied by our in-house guides, we offer our clients little touches that enrich their journey and leave a lasting impression.”

Quartier Libre’s Scotland, folklore is no legend

In Scotland with Quartier Libre you will travel among legends, landscapes, castles, and historic towns. But don’t overlook the folklore, and that’s why you will enjoy an exclusive evening in two of our programs.

With our Grand Tour of Scotland you will experience 11 days and 10 nights, during which you will encounter the remarkable Loch Ness, nestled in the heart of the Highlands, where a very particular inhabitant is said to hide in its depths. Not to miss are visits to a distillery and a brewery (with tastings of whiskey and beer). A comprehensive tour that covers the Highlands’ must-sees. And a more intimate region, the Lowlands, with Floors Castle (the country’s largest inhabited castle) and Lindisfarne Island, separated from the mainland by a submerged road.

If you choose our Isles & Highlands (8 days / 7 nights with guaranteed departures every week), you will encounter majestic landscapes, a culture rich in legends, and traditions that remain very much alive. This journey will also offer a culinary immersion through visits to two whiskey distilleries, not to mention highlights like a cruise on Loch Ness (the country’s second largest by size and first by water volume) or a excursion to the wild island of Skye.

Ireland to be savored without moderation

The country is renowned for its scenery and the warmth of its people. To set the mood, Quartier Libre includes in its full-board circuits a typical lunch, a tasting of four whiskies, a folk dance performance around a beer, and an Irish pub night with a beer on the house. A way to savor the pleasures of a unique island.

The Irish Walk, our bestseller for an immersive experience in Irish popular culture in 8 days / 7 nights. Discover the great classics of the western side of the green island, with its lakes, cliffs, and iconic towns.

Dublin, Connemara, the Cliffs of Moher, the Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry and the Rock of Cashel will astonish you.

The Grand Tour of Ireland, in 11 days / 10 nights with full board, will allow you to visit the island’s two capitals, Dublin and Belfast. The thrilling and often turbulent history of the two Irelands will no longer be a mystery to you. Like the Irish Walk, you will pass through Connemara, the Ring of Kerry and Kilkenny, with an additional exploration of the fabulous Aran Islands.

And Northern Ireland with Belfast and the Titanic Museum, not to forget the phenomenal Giant’s Causeway.

Quartier Libre’s Norway, fjords on land and on the water

Stéphane outlines the programs available with partners such as Norwegian, Volotea, Lufthansa, Air France, and Scandinavian Airlines. “Beyond housing our clients in the city center in Bergen, we invite them to cruise through three fjords and to discover several stave churches as well as the Maihaugen open-air museum.”

Our circuit “Grand Tour of Norway,” 11 days / 10 nights, awaits you (from 3433€). A rich and balanced itinerary that will take you to the North Cape and its Midnight Sun; you will explore the wild northern lands and the eastern fjords. With a stop at Jotunheim National Park where you might encounter the giant trolls we mentioned in the previous paragraph.

The “Norway of the Fjords” is the production’s best-seller (from 1899€), and it’s no accident. In 8 days / 7 nights your clients will discover the quintessential land of the Fjords, where nature shows off its dazzling and immense scale. The Sognefjord, king of the fjords, UNESCO-listed; the Geirangerfjord with its cliffs and waterfalls; and the Hardangerfjord, the southernmost with gentler slopes.

Stéphane adds: “In this program, the three fjord cruises (totaling about 4 hours of navigation) are simply breathtaking and even vertigo-inducing. It’s an experience you should live at least once in your life.”

The visits to Oslo, Bergen and Lillehammer, plus a stroll at the foot of a glacier, make this itinerary a true snapshot of the destination’s must-see highlights.

Stéphane also adds: “And to be fully complete, we’ve just launched, for astronomy enthusiasts, a solar eclipse special variant of our guided tours Norway of the Fjords and Grand Tour of Norway.”

© Canva - Quartier Libre

Whale Watching in Iceland

Stéphane explains: “We offer a guided itinerary with guaranteed departures for those seeking a memorable journey amid all the wonders of Iceland. Two cruises are included in this trip. The first focuses on whale watching, and the second is a visit to Jökulsárlón, a glacial lagoon located in the southeast of the country.

This guided Iceland itinerary 8 days / 7 nights is offered with guaranteed departures from May to August.

Our itinerary will allow your travelers to explore the island in its entirety, from vast natural spaces to cultural and historical sites. On the program for these 8 days are the country’s must-sees, waiting to gift your clients unforgettable memories.

We are a specialist in the destination, which enables us to craft a trip accessible to all. It ranges from strolling along black-sand beaches to observing geysers and discovering waterfalls. We are committed to delivering top-quality service.”

Jans Tours Switzerland: A New Milestone in the Group’s History

© Getty Images

Dream Yacht

Jans Tours Switzerland launched its first operations this year, with carefully crafted products, committed local partners, and a field team that brings the destination to life on a daily basis.

A step that naturally fits into the group’s evolution and that it was time to present more officially to our partners in the Francophone market.

A natural evolution rather than a strategic shift

At first glance, the link between Southeast Asia and Switzerland may seem surprising. Yet the logic is simple.

Jans Tours has always built its development around the same philosophy: strong destination expertise, teams close to the ground, and the ability to craft tailor-made trips that make sense.

After Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia, the group naturally continued its international expansion by opening up new perspectives in Europe. The France commercial office marked an important first step to strengthen ties with Francophone markets. The creation of Jans Tours Switzerland is in line with this continuity.

This is not about changing professions, but about widening the playing field.

Switzerland, a destination that ticks all the boxes today

If Switzerland today asserts itself as a new destination for Jans Tours, it is not by chance.

The market is evolving, and so are travelers’ expectations. There is a growing demand for trips that are smoother, more responsible, closer to nature and local experiences. Journeys where the travel itself becomes an experience, where one takes time to discover, to feel, to understand.

And in this regard, Switzerland has a real playbook.

Between its spectacular Alpine landscapes, its lakes, its perfectly preserved villages, and its railway network among the most efficient in the world, the country offers an ideal playground to build varied itineraries that are attractive and accessible year-round.

It is also a destination that speaks to several client typologies: FITs, groups, incentives, or premium trips.

© Getty Images

A destination built closest to the ground

Since its launch, Jans Tours Switzerland has relied on an approach built from direct contact with the destination, nourished by in-depth and practical knowledge of the terrain.

The country lends itself particularly well to varied itineraries, thanks to the complementarity of its regions. Lucerne and Central Switzerland offer immediate access to the Alps and the country’s classics, between sparkling lakes and accessible mountains. The Bernese Oberland remains one of Switzerland’s most spectacular playgrounds, perfect for nature experiences and endless alpine panoramas. Farther south, Valais and Zermatt embody iconic Switzerland, with the presence of the Matterhorn, the country’s emblematic mountain, and a decidedly premium atmosphere. Graubünden and the Engadin entice with their more pristine landscapes and exceptional rail experiences, while the Geneva region and Lake Geneva combine urban elegance, terraced vineyards, and open views of the Alps.

The goal is not to offer a fixed package, but to build a flexible, inspiring, and customizable base that can adapt to the expectations and specific needs of each market and each client.

Today, it is mainly the experiences that give the destination its full personality.

Experiences that invite you to travel differently

In Switzerland, travel is part of the journey itself.

The panoramic trains are the best example. They are not mere transfers, but genuine experiences.

This is notably the case with the Bernina Express Pullman Class, where travelers board historic cars inspired by the 1930s to traverse some of the most beautiful UNESCO-listed Alpine landscapes.

On board, the pace slows. The scenery scrolls by. And the journey takes on a different dimension, almost timeless.

Another novelty in central Switzerland: the TITLIS Tower, with its Horizon Deck at the summit, offering a new panoramic experience in the heart of the Alps, at over 3,000 meters above sea level.

To these are added gastronomic experiences, regional festivals, and a particularly high-quality hotel offering, enabling the construction of very differentiating programs.

A clear commitment to sustainable tourism

One logic: connecting destinations and partners

With Jans Tours Switzerland, the group takes a new step in its development, without changing what defines its identity.

The ADN remains the same: strong destination expertise, solid local presence, and a constant commitment to supporting travel professionals in creating tailor-made programs.

And above all, a clear continuity between all destinations in the group.

From Indonesia to the Philippines, from Malaysia to Switzerland, our teams remain available to assist travel agencies and tour operators in their projects, delivering the same rigor, the same responsiveness, and the same on-the-ground passion.

Because ultimately, it doesn’t matter the destination: what matters is the experience we build together.

Asia: The Major Festivals That Can Transform Your Trip into an Unforgettable Experience

Bhoutan © DTH Travel

Dream Yacht

In this quest for cultural immersion, festivals and traditional celebrations present a tremendous opportunity. For a few days, sometimes a few weeks, a destination reveals its most precious aspects: its beliefs, its traditions, its history, its creativity and its identity.

For tourism professionals, these events also constitute a powerful differentiating lever. Building an itinerary around a festival or a cultural event allows offering a unique experience, difficult to compare with a classic circuit, while giving real added value to the journey.

Asia, with its exceptional cultural diversity, offers year-round a multitude of celebrations that deserve to be integrated into programs for 2026 and 2027.

When an entire country goes into festive mode

Certain celebrations literally transform a destination.

In Bhutan, the famous Tshechus bring together local communities, monks and pilgrims around sacred dances performed in the fortress-monasteries of the Himalayan kingdom. The Paro Tshechu (18 to 22 March 2027) and the Thimphu Tshechu (21 to 23 September 2026) rank among the country’s most spectacular events.

Japon © DTH Travel

In Japan, the festival calendar rhythmically marks the seasons. From the monumental sculptures at the Sapporo Snow Festival in February to the majestic floats of the Gion Matsuri in Kyoto in July, and the timeless magic of cherry blossoms in spring, each period of the year offers a different view of Japanese culture.

Thaïlande © DTH Travel

In Thailand, the Yi Peng Lantern Festival of Chiang Mai (November 24-25, 2026) remains one of Asia’s most iconic experiences. Thousands of lanterns illuminate the sky simultaneously, creating an atmosphere filled with spirituality and emotion. If you wish to offer this experience to your clients, DTH Travel still has spaces available to attend this event.

Celebrations that tell a country’s soul

Beyond the spectacle, some events allow a glimpse into the spiritual and cultural dimension of destinations. In Cambodia, Pchum Ben, the Ancestors’ Festival, offers a rare immersion into Khmer Buddhist traditions. From October 10 to 12, 2026, families gather in pagodas to honor past generations.

A few weeks later, the country shifts to a completely different ambiance with Bon Om Touk, the Water Festival (November 23-25, 2026), which makes Phnom Penh pulse to the rhythm of boat races, concerts and popular celebrations.

In Malaysia, Thaipusam (January 22, 2027) impresses with the fervor of pilgrims climbing the Batu Caves’ famous steps in a spectacular display of faith.

In Sri Lanka, from July to October (peaking in August and September), the Minneriya Elephant Gathering is one of the year’s major highlights. Each dry season, herds of elephants gather around the Minneriya reservoir, producing one of Asia’s most impressive wildlife spectacles. The moment is especially striking in the late afternoon, when the animals arrive at the reservoir’s shores bathed in the sunset light. This natural phenomenon offers a unique immersion into Sri Lankan biodiversity and perfectly illustrates the link between nature, conservation, and responsible tourism.

The Philippines also offers a unique experience with the Sinulog, Ati-Atihan and Dinagyang festivals in January 2027. For several weeks, the streets transform into giant stages where music, dance and religious traditions blend.

The opportunity to craft unique journeys

However, building an itinerary around an event requires careful preparation. Festival periods often bring high hotel demand, specific logistical constraints and larger crowds. This is where local expertise becomes essential to select suitable accommodations and activities, or to combine the event with nearby less-visited destinations.

The goal is not merely to attend a celebration, but to allow travelers to understand its meaning and to experience it in the best possible conditions.

At DTH Travel, our local teams across 14 destinations in Asia assist tourism professionals in designing tailor-made itineraries that integrate these major cultural milestones, while preserving the authenticity and comfort of the experience.

Because beyond the destination itself, it is often the moments of celebration that leave the most lasting memories.

To imagine your next itineraries, the DTH Travel teams are at your disposal.
